  1. I've been following Ammoman's price on 7.62x39. A week before the election it was $209 for a case of Wolf delivered. The day after it was $229. Today it's $249.
  2. Yeah, I've been doing the same thing. Every time I go to Wal Mart I try to pick up at least 100 rounds of .45 or 9mm. Now that's funny. I'm not sure if I'm going this weekend or not. If nothing else it ought to be good for some laughs.

No, the US 1917 Enfield's were chambered in 30.06.
  4. I'm not familiar enough with all of his various pricing to say for sure. I want to say that a couple of weeks ago when I checked the price on a case of Wolf 7.62x39 it was $209 delivered. Today it's $229. Not a huge increase.
  5. Earlier today Ammoman's page said he wasn't taking any more orders until he fulfilled all his outstanding ones.

    Osama

    Classy guys. Real classy.
  7. It's going to be like the gas "shortage" in the southeast on a national scale. Panic buying causes price spikes. Ammoman has already put up a notice that he's not accepting new orders until he fulfills all outstanding orders.
  8. Part of me wants to go to the Goodman show this weekend just to see what a madhouse it will be. I half expect to see $50 D&H mags.
  9. I'm going to say the same thing I'd say if McCain got elected: "Oh boy, we elected a politician. Let's hope he's better at the job than I think he will be."
  10. Cutting to 18" exactly is a bad idea. If the ATF checks it for some reason and they decide it measures in at 17 & 7/8" it still counts as illegal. I wouldn't have one taken down shorter than 18 & 1/2" myself.
  11. Thanks for the info guys. Right this moment I'm spending money on my house, but I want to get my BHP customized soon.
  12. Anybody have recommendations for someone local to the Nashville area who can do a proper trigger job on a Browning Hi Power? I'm not sure what options are available or useful other than the standard removal of the mag disconnect.
  13. I stopped by the Academy in Cool Springs this afternoon. Out of stock, with more supposedly coming on Monday. Ah well. I guess I'll just have to order a case from Ammoman and be done with it.
  14. No kids here. I'm going to be sitting home with a pile of candy to hand out and a cheesy horror flick in the dvd player. Return of the Living Dead Evil Dead 2 Army of Darkness I'll watch them in that order until the doorbell stops ringing.
  15. If I were going to buy one for hunting and target shooting I'd probably go for a CZ-527 bolt gun in .223. http://www.cz-usa.com/product_detail.php?id=8
  16. I had no problems with early voting. But then I did it on my way home from work on a Friday night. Nobody wanted to do it on a Friday for some reason I guess.

    Ruger LCP Recall

I used to have a nice animated .gif that illustrated just how a transfer bar safety functioned. I can't seem to find it, but if I do I'll post it for you.
  18. Even if the guys at AR-15.com are right, the gun show dealers will use this as another excuse to jack up the price on the ammo.

You beat me to it. Damn.
  20. In other words he's just another politician telling you what you want to hear. For further reference see the works of Clinton, Bush, Bush II, Reagan, Carter, Nixon, et al.

    Ruger LCP Recall

Yet another reason I'm glad I waited on getting one of these. Never buy a new product the first year is out.
  22. Yep. I grew up on military bases. An idiot in my DODDS high school screwed up pretty badly and cost his dad a stripe. I understand the discussions at home became a tad ... heated.
  23. Let us know if they get more in. I haven't had time to get down there and I'll be gone all weekend. Dammit.
  24. They look very nice. I've tried different grips on my old West German P220, but always end up going to the old checkered plastic factory grips. If I see a SIG with those grips in real life I'd like to see how they feel.
  25. From a purely legal and constitutional viewpoint, yes he is.
