On reflection that's probably not a bad idea. The HD Tivo will only get better and cheaper as time goes on. If you won't need it in the foreseeable future then the series 2 probably will serve you better.

I use a TivoHD with Comcast and I love it. If you can swing the extra cash, go ahead and get a TivoHD (aka series 3). It wil work fine as a standard definition Tivo, and if you ever do decide to upgrade to HDTV you will have the option. Ignore the "20 hours of HDTV", that translates out to some stupidly high number of SD hours.

People say things like this, but in real life, when the feds show up at your door you have a decision to make. "Do I want to deprive my wife & kids (or myself) of my income and freedom?" When it comes to it, I suspect that the vast majority will give them up. They'll bitch, they'll sue, they'll organize and protest, but they aren't going to give up their lives and ruin their family.

The sub2k Is a fun gun. I bought a used one recently. I had some feeding problems but I think it may have been just a problem with one of the magazines. The sights were WAAAAY off in that I had to aim at the far left edge of the target to hit the center, but that's just a matter of adjusting them.
