I can highly recommend the Browning Buckmark and the Ruger MkII / MkIII series. I like the 22/45 style myself, but others prefer the original. I have a standard XD45 service and it's great. My understanding is that the C model has a shorter grip, and that if you want to approximate the service model you can get standard 13rd mags with a grip extension.

Anyway, I don't think there is a perfect snubbie. For pocket carry I've got a S&W 638, but if I wanted to carry a revolver IWB I'd probably opt for my SP101, even if it doesn't have a bobbed hammer.

1 dog, 4 cats. Would I have taken in that many on my own? No, but my wife was a big softie for strays, and now that I have them I consider them my responsibility. Besides, they're kinda nice to have around. (when they're not clawing something, waking me up in the middle of the night, or making a mess)
