I ride an MTA/RTA bus every day. As far as I've been able to find out there are no rules against carry. Not that I can test it since carry is quite specifically prohibited at work ... But hey, I turned a 40 mile commute into a 6 mile commute and I can read during the ride to and from work rather than stress over rush hour.

Starting with another factory-new magazine is always a good idea. Even if that's not the problem, you've eliminated one possibility and you now have an extra mag.

I got my fingerprinting done yesterday, and now I wait for my HCP to arrive in the mail. I took the class from SafetySouth last month. It was interesting and informative, despite the Infamous Video. I can highly recommend them. The only hiccup I had was when I went to the Driver's License station in Lavergne. They hadn't heard of the change in the law making it so you do not have to list any information about your firearm on the completion certificate. The clerks were quite helpful and pleasant, but iIt was late enough in the afternoon that they couldn't reach anyone to confirm one way or the other. Bo at SafetySouth was kind enough to send me a link to the law in question. When I went back the next day they had already confirmed the situation and took care of the paperwork quickly. I guess I'll be showing up in the Memphis newspaper database before long ...

I really enjoy the books. I've watched the first season and it was pretty good, but I didn't care for some of the changes.
