  1. It looks about the same as it did this morning.
  2. Thanks, much appreciated. Hopefully it will show up right around the same time that the component video cable does. Heh. It's the Wii Fit that will probably kill me.
  3. I've heard that. It's only ten of them, so I don't expect the problem to last for long. But thanks.
  4. Hey, I have witnesses. But if my wife were still alive I would take great joy in going out in public with her and visibly cringing every time she moved in my direction. She would have laughed at that.
  5. So yesterday at 11am I head out the door to meet some coworkers for lunch. Just as I take my first couple of steps down the 20-step marble (or it looks like marble anyway) stairs to the street I lost my footing. Not sure if I slipped on something or if I was just that clumsy. I realized I wasn't going to be able to regain my balance, so I sort of ran with the fall, trying to stay upright as far down as possible. I almost made it. I was about four steps from the bottom when it all came apart and *whack* *slam* *pow* *skid*. One of the people I was going to lunch with drove me to the ER. I had x-rays and a head CT. They didn't find anything (ba dum dum). No broken bones, but boy did it beat the crap out of me. Left hand, left knee, right hip, right shoulder and my face. The face looks the worst but hurts the least. Shoulder's killing me. I was half tempted to tell my boss "Hey Vince, you came *this* close to finding another position to dissolve in the next round of cuts." As it is I'm home with darvocet. This breaks a long streak for me. At 41 I hadn't been in a hospital for anything more serious than a sinus infection since I was in single digits age-wise. I've never taken anything stronger than 800mg Ibuprofen until now either. Here's me about 5:30 yesterday afternoon: And again around 5:30 this morning.
  6. It's not just conservatives who are scratching their heads over this. A friend of mine who is a big Obama fan, and actually finds him to be a bit too centrist for his taste (good guy, good friend, but we disagree on a few topics ...) said "I heard about this when i woke up and thought it must be an Onion headline."
  7. $75? Are you sure you're not lowballing that a bit? I bought my stripped lower for $90 in 2000 and at the time that was considered a good price.
  8. I was starting to wonder if I was the only one. I've been going there for years and never had a problem.
  9. I've got set of these Hogue coco bolo's on my BHP and rather like them. They have other woods and other styles as well.

    Megan Fox

She's hot, but there's much hotter out there. Individual tastes vary. Me, I think Nigella Lawson is incredibly hot.
  11. Aw man. Sorry to hear that. When I had to have my last dog put down I cried like a baby. I suspect when the current buddy goes it won't be any different. The big furballs have a way of getting to you.

She's about a 6 on the Clydesdale Scale. . . That's how many Clydesdales it would take to pull me off of her face ...
  13. I own a 3" .357 myself and it's a great gun. I've got a set of Hogues on it now, but I'm looking at a nice set of Badger grips, and I'd like to get the action smoothed out at some point.
  14. If they already own a P226 and her only complaint is the size, then yes I would suggest you let her try your P239. They complement one another nicely. Also, try taking her to one of the large gun shops and have her try holding a variety of pistols until she finds something she likes.
  15. If this turns out to be the case then hopefully (yes, I know, unlikely) they'll find the murderer and they can be tried and sentenced. I'd like to say "punished appropriately", but being hanged themselves would be unlikely to happen.
  16. Cute. Most likely made up, but funny nonetheless.
  17. Last show? Are they abandoning that place too?
  18. Read it again. The body was there long enough to partially decompose. If you've never seen (or smelled) the results of that in real life ... yeah. She'd be better off having him cremated without seeing him under those circumstances.
  19. Same here. I grew up on AF bases through the 70's and 80's. The difference being that we didn't have the other little "joys" of the 50's such as institutionalized racism, wife beating being ignored, and rape victims "were asking for it."
  20. Here are more details on the differences between their 9mm models: KAHR PM9093 / Specifications
  21. The other difference between the CW9 and the PM9 not mentioned in the image you linked is that the CW9 is .6" longer and .5" taller. I've already got a PM9, but honestly that doesn't seem like that big a deal. If you can get a good deal on a CW9 it might be a good choice.
  22. Target is much closer. And lately Wal Mart doesn't sell ammo either. Can't sell me what you don't have.
  23. Making the first trip to Wally World is so cliche. Maybe I'll go to Target instead.
  24. My HCP finally arrived in the mail yesterday. My first official act with it was to take the dog for a walk along with my S&W 638 in a Desantis Nemesis pocket holster. I'll try out the Kahr PM9 once I've had a chance to test it with some decent defensive ammo. I can't carry at work - all .gov buildings are quite thoroughly posted. I suppose next I should check the Wall of Shame over at the Memphis paper to see if they've got me listed yet ...
  25. raydog1's link will take care of it for you. I've been using that tool for years.
