  1. Maybe they can make the football players actually go to class?
  2. I've been acquiring new toys and selling old ones lately. The most recent acquisition is a S&W Model 63 (no dash, .22lr, 4" barrel, j-frame square butt). Pardon the crappy pic, I'll try for a better one later. I'm not sure if I want to get some nicer wood grips or try putting a Tyler T-Grip on these. This is one of the reasons I need to make room in my safe. Just picked this up and haven't had a chance to take it to the range yet.
  3. Now that's neat. At first I thought it just replaced the iron sights entirely, but there is one still available. Very nice.
  4. That's pretty much my view as well. My W. German P220 has been reliable and accurate, and quality of manufacture is pretty much a given in this case.
  5. I've been on Comcast for years. I've had a few issues, but mostly I've had good service. Dumb question: did you try taking your router out of the picture by plugging one of your computers directly to the cable modem? Those cheap routers are useful, but I've had them die more than once over the years.
  6. It depends on who you ask I suppose. The number of W. German SIGs is fixed, there will be no more, so that makes them a bit more collectible if that's of interest to you. I certainly like mine, the only reason I'm selling it is because I don't shoot it enough anymore to justify keeping it. I'm trying to downsize my collection by selling guns that are redundant or not being shot anymore.
  7. If that were the original finish then there would be no decision to make. I'd leave it exactly as it is beyond cleaning up rust etc.. Since it's already been reblued that pretty much throws that part of its collectability right out the window. If you like it and you want it to be pretty, have it refinished. If you like it and aren't really worried about it, leave it as is. Otherwise, sell it and try to recoup some of your money to spend towards something better.
  8. As far as I know the benefactor status is not required for posting in the WTB section. Make sure you're posting it in the correct subforum.

    Ruger LCR or S&W 637

If you can afford it, keep both until you're at least sure you are comfortably proficient with the revolver. After that, if you need the cash sell it. If you don't, hang on to it as a backup.
  10. Nope. Closest to that would be the .308 vz.24 (with a few hundred rounds of .308) I plan to sell.
  11. I'm enjoying the snow. Doing a little picking up around the house. Going to the movies with my girlfriend later. Probably going to post at least one gun for sale (out of four I've identified as "redundant and I don't really shoot them anymore anyway").
  12. Hmm. Here's the location: Google Maps
  13. More info please? They haven't updated their web site yet.
  14. The TN expo center at 1412 Hazelwood is in Smyrna, not Murfreesboro. And the last word on that is that there will be no more gun shows at that facility. It's been sold (or leased long term, depending on who is talking).
  15. She's more the practical gift type anyway. For Christmas I put a new keyboard in her laptop (her dog broke the old one), replaced her MP3 player and her PDA. (yes, she still uses a real PDA and not a smartphone ...) She was thrilled. Which is good since I suck at the romantic gift thing.
  16. Why is it PC to remove a statue of a Klansman? (and in the case of anyone associated with the Klan I use the word "man" only loosely)
  17. Okay, my mistake. I thought the Fairgrounds had already dumped them out. Never mind.
  18. With the Smyrna venue (RK) gone, and now the Nashville Fairgrounds show (Goodman) gone, where are the gun shows? I see an RK show scheduled for the Williamson Co Ag Center in February, but that's it. Oh, and scheduling a show for Valentine's Day weekend? Are you nuts? My girlfriend is understanding, but I'm not stupid enough to go spend a bunch of money on something other than her that weekend.
  19. Yes. Hint: it's in this sub-forum. And locked. Today.

    PM9 Thoughts?

I wondered that myself. Expensive as it will be to do it, my PM9 won't be fully trusted until I have fired 200 rounds of a specific load with no failures.
  21. Those kids are doomed. Environmentally and genetically, they are completely screwed.
  22. "I killed a deer in my underwear. What he was doing in my underwear I'll never know."
  23. So you're saying Snopes is wrong because they're not a bunch of 9/11 truther morons?
  24. Start with the blue. If it doesn't work you can always try something stronger.
  25. Seems to me he needs to contact the police dept. in the town where this detective is calling from and ask some questions. Depending on what he finds out from that call he may want to talk to a lawyer. Do not make assumptions based on some internet thread. That's a good way to find yourself in cuffs.
