  1. The only problem I know about with shooting shorts or longs in a revolver chambered for .22lr is that you need to clean it thoroughly or you may have problems seating the longer .22lr cartridges later. It's the same issue as firing .38spl in a .357 revolver.
  2. While gucomics is a gaming comic, this transcends forum type. Remind you of anyone we've seen (past or present)??? GU Comics by: Woody Hearn
  3. I bought a Kahr PM9 myself and I like it quite well so far. Glocks have a proven record and a huge pile of crazed fanboys ... err ... following. People like to crap on Taurus, and sometimes it's deserved. That said, so far I've only heard good things about the 745.
  4. How did they get around the problem that all revolver-carbines have had in the past? The need to keep your hands *behind* the cylinder gap or be cut by the gas?
  5. I have one. I like it. So far all I've done to it is replace the sights.
  6. You've got that one mixed up. How do you tell the difference between a Democrat and a Republican? A Democrat wants the government out of your bedroom and in your office. A Republican wants the government out of your office and in your bedroom.

    SNIPER?

It also replays tonight at 12:01am
  8. You can check the RK Gun Show calendar here: Welcome to RK Gun Shows This one is March 27 & 28. Address is 1209 Park Avenue, Mufreesboro TN. Don't forget to print out your free dollar:
  9. I plan to go.

    Assault Rifle

Assault rifle is a military term. It is consistently misused by the left and the press. That doesn't change the validity of the term where appropriately applied.
  11. Yep. I bought my first one at the Goodman show. I ordered two more from Amazon, one of which is still sealed in the plastic.
  12. No idea. Your assignment: watch every Bob Hope movie and find out which one this is from.
  13. Are you implying that people who are griping should try volunteering to be a RSO? *gasp* Stones River is close, inexpensive and safe. Works for me. Next closest outdoor range is (was?) Owl Hollow. I haven't been back there since getting repeatedly muzzle-swept by an idiot and his kids who kept pointing their rifles perpendicular to the range, ie: at us. No supervision and nobody seemed to take it seriously when I asked them to cut it out. I haven't been to the Cheatham range in quite some time, but I hear it's as bad or worse for safety.
  14. Weird. All I can see is a pic of the car.
  15. Go into your User CP settings and change it to show 40 posts per page like I do. Then it's only 3 pages.
  16. It let you know that she didn't speak with a proper southern accent. Granted, I don't speak with one either, so I must be a yankee too.
  17. I can't fish worth a darn, and I'm a mediocre shot. But I have fun while doing it.
  18. Let's see. One target per came about because of too many idiots shooting up the target frames. They did ramp up the safety enforcement right after some idiot managed to shoot himself in the abdomen while trying to clear a jam. In general I've had pretty good experiences there.
  19. It was the first interracial kiss on television. It took a lot of takes. Nichelle Nichols (Uhura) and Shatner were supposed to act like they were being forced against their will to kiss. They kept breaking down laughing, forcing a retake.
  20. Thanks. I didn't realize SAII carried them. That's just a couple of miles down the road. I'll have to pick up a few packs the next time I stop by.
  21. Nope. Wal Mart used to carry them. They switched to regular shoot-n-c targets, which are more expensive.
  22. Here's the best pic I could find of RWS 9mm, if you wanted a closer look. Google (and then following the link to Gunbroker to find someone selling RWS ammo) is your friend.
  23. Wal Mart used to carry Champion VisiShot targets. I can find them online, but the shipping charges at most places are stupidly high for reasons I haven't been able to figure out. Does anybody know which local shops carry VisiShot targets?
  24. I'll be heading out in a few minutes with this. S&W 649 with CT grips, Streamlight Microstream AAA powered LED light, well-worn Gerber Clutch microtool, Kershaw (Scallion? damifiremember) knife, keys, wallet, usb key. I wonder about all these pristine pocket flashlights & tools. Mine always end up scratched.
