  1. I've tried .22lr conversions for my (now sold) SIG P220 and my AR-15. In each case I find myself enjoying a dedicated .22lr more, and finding them to be more reliable to boot.
  2. Me too. I'm stuck downtown working today.
  3. Neat. I'd rather see it in 7.62x39 or .223 than .308, but neat.
  4. Thing is in 20 years people will look at the fashions of the 90's and the current decade and think they're just as weird looking. That's perception for you.
  5. Actually Browning was a fan of many calibers, and according to many historical accounts his preferred carry gun was a 1903 Pocket hammerless in .32ACP.

    PMR 30

When they put out a .22lr version I'll be more interested in buying one, but cool, very cool.
  7. Lots of speculation going on. If, as TGO David speculates, your son's personal Blackberry is connected to a company-owned BES server, your son may be out of luck both technically and legally. If that's the case then it's quite possible he agreed to allow the company to do anything they want to his Blackberry. I don't use a Blackberry, but if the app in question is similar to an Android or iPhone app then maybe he could manually uninstall it and then watch to see if and how long it takes it to reappear.
  8. Neat. I don't really have a need for one (I have a 1911 in .45ACP and a Browning Hi Power in 9mm), but I wouldn't mind having one just for fun.
  9. The Israelis have allowed (or rather, required) homosexuals to serve in their military with no restrictions on keeping it some deep dark secret. It doesn't seem to have affected their readiness levels one iota.
  10. This pretty much sums it up for me. I played with mine for a while, just couldn't seem to shoot it very well so I sold it.
  11. You can do that, but there's something anybody with burglar bars should keep in mind: Public Service Announcement | A Day In The Life Of An Ambulance Driver I’ve said it before, but tonight’s events bear repeating it again: If your doors and windows are protected by burglar bars, have a key box or combination available to emergency responders. Having a key holder who lives at a different address isn’t going to cut it. If they’re not at home, or don’t answer their phone for some reason, there is a very good chance you can die behind your little Wall of Safety while the good guys stand helplessly outside. Get a lock box, and have the combination on file with your local ambulance service or 911 call center.
  12. I was 12 years old, living in Dover Delaware. My dad was in the USAF and stationed there at the time. Didn't have a huge effect on me at the time.
  13. I haven't either. Biggest problem I have is that they don't come to any Nashville area gun shows anymore.
  14. I've used it for years with no problems. But then I've pretty much limited my use to password recovery only. If you start directly editing other registry entries with it, then yeah, you may have problems.
  15. I don't put bumper stickers or anything like that on my car, but put me down for 2.
  16. If I'm not thinking about the cost it's a tossup. For handguns I love my Browning Hi Power and my Ruger GP-100, but my el-cheapo RIA Tactical 1911 is mucho fun to shoot. If I'm trying to save $ it's hard to beat my Ruger 22/45. For rifle I think my favorite is my old SAR-1 AK.
  17. I have no doubt that the people you spoke to had no real idea why TN was on the list other than "our legal dept says so." Speaking as someone who has to do stupid things for no good reason other than "The people who pay me say this is how you have to do it", I sympathize.
  18. I've used this for years to reset local administrator passwords when necessary. Works on NT/2K/XP/Vista/Win7 Offline NT Password & Registry Editor

    Dear PETA

I may have to buy a bottle of that.
  20. That sounds close to arguments I was told by hyper-religious "friends" who said that my marriage to my first wife was somehow not a "real" marriage because we had no children and were not planning to have them.
  21. I pocket carry 100% of the time. When I can wear jeans I carry my S&W 649. When I have to wear slacks I carry a Kahr PM9. It works well.
  22. That she's not exactly the prettiest woman out there herself?
  23. Bleagh. Careful, skeletina's bones cut deep. I've never understood the appeal of super skinny women. Even the three little pigs knew the truth: if you're going to spend a lot of time in something you don't build it out of sticks.
  24. Why? Family and friends can disagree on politics and still get along. I do it all the time.
  25. It is true that some individual rights are restricted while in military service. However, it is NOT done on an unequal basis. So unless you plan to ban all expressions of heterosexuality as well you might want to rethink your logic.
