  1. Accidentally loaded a .223 case with pistol powder?
  2. Just to play devil's advocate, how is a pediatrician asking about firearms in the home any different than asking if you have a swimming pool or how / where you store your cleaning products or if you've put dummy plugs in unused outlets? Yes, they do ask these questions, but my understanding is they do so more as a parental awareness issue than anything else.

    KHAR PM9

I front pocket carry one with no problem. It's not really any bigger than a J frame Smith, and those are front pocketable. Granted, I'm a big fat guy, so maybe my pockets are a bit larger than yours.
  4. OBL was part of the Mujahadeen, armed by the Reagan administration in response to the Soviet incursion in Afghanistan.

    Android!!

I have a Droid 2 and I love it. Angry Birds doesn't do much for me, but I do enjoy playing with my toy. And hey, some of my best friends use iPhones. Can't we all just get along? ;-)
  6. A little googling of the term found this: "... criminal trespass, covers unlawful entry to buildings or premises without the intent to commit a crime"
  7. The beet juice thing has been around for a few years. The mixture lowers the freezing point of the brine compound, making it effective at lower temperatures. Cities, states testing beet juice mixture on roadways - USATODAY.com

    Tipping.

I generally tip 20%+ for even decent service. As long as you keep my drink topped off and don't forget about me you're going to get a good tip. My wife told me that tipping and how I treated the waitress was one of her ways of measuring me on our first date. Tipping 20%+ good. Figuring it in my head better. (I'm amazed how many people can't do that) Treating the waitress nicely figured heavily in my favor as well.
  9. From what I've seen, the BATF has commissioned a study regarding whether certain imported shotguns meet the Sporting Purposes clause. Here's the link: http://www.atf.gov/publications/firearms/012611-study-on-importality-of-certain-shotguns.pdf As to what you should do, who knows? Me, I'm not doing anything because I don't particularly want an AK style shotgun. If I really wanted one I might be looking at getting one now rather than later.
  10. This quote from the honorable gentleman in question sums it all up: “Fighting the enemy in battle is my duty as a soldier; taking on the dacoits in the train was my duty as a human being,”

  12. I used to own a 6" stainless 66. It functioned well enough. I sold it off after I ran across a good deal on a used 4" GP100. Now that I think about it, I've owned 3 Taurus revolvers over the years. They were inexpensive and they worked fine. As finances allowed I replaced each with a nice Ruger or Smith, but when money was tight I felt well served by those old Taurus guns.
  13. So what did they rule on yesterday? Link?
  14. The human body requires glucose to survive. Glucose is easily converted from carbohydrates. If necessary the body can scavenge protein to convert to glucose, but it's not nearly as efficient.
  15. Personally I prefer a good pump action and have no desire to buy a Saiga shotgun, but I hate to see this kind of crap.
  16. If it claims to be a real Aimpoint for $250, it's a fake.
  17. Scenario: Jimmy asks Susie out on a date. Jimmy has a high melanin quotient, Susie doesn't. 1957: Jimmy gets beat and strung up by the local Klan. 2007: Nobody really cares.
  18. "What's it for?" "To sell, of course."
  19. My experience with addicts is that they're more dangerous to your personal life than your physical life. Straight from the mouth a prescription-drug addict who was trying to quit: "Rule number one: Addicts lie. Rule number two: ADDICTS LIE. Always remember that."
  20. Interesting. I already have a PM9, but if the LC9 is reliable I'd consider selling my PM9 and getting an LC9. Being a BFG (Big Fat Guy) my pockets are a bit roomier than most.
  21. Man that is one uuuuugly gun, but I want to try it out.
  22. Congrats on your new acquisition. I have a GP100 that is a joy to shoot. Looking at the picture of your three handguns you've got all the basics covered (small medium & large, CCW, full sized / home defense and range fun) covered. The only thing I'd want to add is a .22lr pistol of some sort for cheap/fun practice and plinking.
  23. I sit with my back to the door, ipod in my ears and reading a book. What?

    GUN STORE RANT

I've had nothing but good service from Outpost myself, but all it takes is one bad experience to sour a customer.
