  1. So he's dead because he got ... ... uppity?
  2. Probably not, no. I'd check that out. Can you remove it and replace it or is it permanently attached? I used to own a WASR and it did have mag wobble for the reasons previously mentioned. I never had a bit of trouble out of it functionally, though. The only reason I sold it was because I lucked into a killer deal on a SAR-1, otherwise I'd still have the WASR and be quite pleased with it.
  3. Yep. I've had one guy give me a look that obviously said "Yeah, I know what you've got in that pocket", but that's it, just the one guy in all this time.
  4. I pocket carry a S&W 649 or a Kahr PM9 as needed. I like the 649 more, but it's a lot heavier in the pocket. I'd have no problem carry an LC9 either, and may yet get one if the opportunity presents.
  5. Yep. As long as you aren't selling to someone who doesn't live in the same state as you or is otherwise prohibited from purchasing a firearm you should be good.
  6. In many cases "accidentally shot himself while cleaning it" is code for suicide.
  7. Interesting, but somewhat misleading. Despite the description, the first one isn't a report about The Most Corrupt States. It's a report detailing which states have the most lax anti-corruption laws. Not the same thing. . The second claims to be a report about the The Least Corrupt States, but again it simply lists which states have the strongest measures in place to prevent corruption in government. It doesn't appear to make any claims about how much corruption actually exists.
  8. Thanks. I notice that they also re-sell the same Tech Sight I'm looking at on the site you link.
  9. A few years ago I picked up a Mini-14 because I've always liked the way they look and feel. What I hate about them is the way the rear sights are adjusted. Loosen one side and tighten the other with a hex wrench? Really? So I've been looking at these click adjustable sights that drop right in as a replacement: http://www.tech-sights.com/mini14.htm Anybody here play have any experience with them? I'm curious if anybody has anything positive or negative to say about them before I plunk down my $.
  10. Yeah ... I'm not going to click on any link that leads to stormfront. I wouldn't go near the scum that hangs out there without a hazmat suit and a mix of napalm and lysol.
  11. Oh hey, look, that picture everyone keeps quoting has now been shown to be fake. And I have yet to see a single person who posted it acknowledge it. They just quietly ignore it and stop mentioning it. http://www.wtsp.com/news/article/247194/19/Fake-Trayvon-Martin-picture-circulates-on-the-web-image-actually-shows-a-different-person
  12. How do you know they are real? I've seen that picture floating around, but no source to document that it's actually him. So again, this kind of crap is basically irrelevant.
  13. Check out Aya Sushi in Murfreesboro. One of the very few that's run by actual Japanese immigrants. Most Japanese restaurants in this area are actually operated by Koreans. I also eat at Sam's Sushi in Nashville. Sam, aka The Sushi Nazi. (it's good, cheap, filling, and within walking distance of my office)
  14. http://casatic.livej...756.html#cutid1 (not sure if the images linked below will work, someone let me know)\
  15. An interesting new entry on the pistol scene. I don't want one, but I'd like the chance to fire one. http://www.thefirear...ike-one-pistol/
  16. Sure! When i grilled steaks the other day I also brushed some Nan bread with olive oil and toasted that on the grill, quite tasty. Also, try brushing olive oil on jalapeno peppers, dusting it with some coarse salt and grilling them off to the side where there's less heat. Yum!
  17. I have the animal hair one myself. Had it for about a year. 2 dogs, 4 cats. Best vacuum I've ever had. Pricey, but good.
  18. Someone please tell me this thread is some sort of joke and I'm just not in on the gag.
  19. I've bought several things on Craigslist - my iPod and several cell phones for example - and never had any problems. That said, I find it interesting that I've never really worried about whether I was armed when meeting someone from TGO to buy or sell anything, but when I go meet some random person from Craigslist in a parking lot I always triple check my CCW.
  20. There are multiple inconsistencies. If the CNS is the vulnerability on zombies, how did the guy who had his neck broken come back walking around? I think in that world you'd be better off getting really good at kneecapping them.
  21. To quote my favorite boss ever on statements like that "Okay, go do that and let us know the results."
  22. For just range use I'm pretty sure just the barrel and some G26 magazines are all you need. I certainly wouldn't carry it in converted form and bet my life on it.
  23. It is certainly cool. I'd like to see it take off.
  24. I own a Hi Point 995TS carbine and it's been both fun and reliable. I briefly owned a Kel Tec Sub2000. It worked fine, but I could never get then hang of firing it accurately. I have no idea if it was something with the Sub2K or if it was me, but the person I sold it too didn't seem to have any problems for what that's worth. I really wish it had been the other way around - I like the idea of the Kel Tec more than the Hi Point, but you can't argue with results.
  25. This. TV studios test their graphic setups and feeds with dummy data, it doesn't really mean anything. Now honestly, if it were me I would have used fake names with the fake data just in case of something stupid like this. But yeah, classic case of "Nothing to see here, move along."
