  1. It appears you cannot up or down vote posts of moderators or admins. Which makes sense.
  2. Now that's just neat. I already carry a Kershaw Scallion. I may have to pick one of these up too.
  3. Exactly. They were there at the behest of their son, the new homeowner. Apparently fumbling with your keys is now something to be held at gunpoint for?
  4. We do NOT need nitwits like these two claiming they're doing the right thing and griping about violations of their 2nd amendment rights. I'm guessing they won't have to worry about those rights for long once they pick up a nice set of felony convictions. http://www.ajc.com/n...ed-1424231.html Edit for those who want a summary: Guy buys house. Guy asks his parents to stop by and change the locks. Parents stop by to do so. Neighbor sees two people messing with locks and fumbling with keys. Calls cops and then he and his son confront the parents, threaten to shoot them and hold them at gunpoint until the cops show up. Cops show up, pat neighbors on head and arrest parents. Now parents are free, neighbor and son are being held pending charges of false imprisonment, aggravated assault and criminal trespass.
  5. Thanks for pointing out AUD. I'm slowly working my way through it and enjoying it.
  6. The HP felt smaller in my hands than the CZ-75. Do yourself a favor and find a gun shop that has one and see how it feels.
  7. Or the owner/staff of the haunted house had them stashed somewhere on site.
  8. Thanks for posting this. I'm not ordering one right now, but I've added it to the "will buy this soon" list.
  9. The 9mm Hi Point carbine would be a decent choice. Cheap to acquire, cheap to feed. After that I'd say an AK/SKS/ anything chambered in either 7.62x39 or 5.45x39.
  10. My wife knows where to get to the combination and instructions on how to use it. I've offered to show her anytime she wants to learn. I have nothing to hide from her.
  11. If he does get acquitted based on SYG I expect we'll have a fight on our hands to keep No Duty To Retreat type laws from being repealed. Great, just what we needed.
  12. I don't have a problem with it, but to each their own. Based on the appearance, I'm guessing it will function like the after-market Glock safety and lock all of the passive safeties on. It doesn't look like it crosses the slide at all when activated.
  13. Hmm. The last time I had anything like that was when I had a wisdom tooth pulled. Yeah, I think you're right, they gave me a physical script now that I think of it. Seems counterintuitive. You'd think they could implement something better than carrying a slip of paper with you.
  14. No official announcment yet, that's a leaked pic. It appears to be what the rumors said it would be - a tiny single-stack M&P9. With an external safety - that's going to annoy a few people.
  15. Yeah, the kid was in a crappy movie 6 years ago. So was Robin Williams , but I've seen him play serious roles very effectively. I thought he did a good job playing Peeta. I saw the movie this past weekend and enjoyed it. I my daughter's copy of the first book prior, and they did a really good job. BTW, he's also in the remake of Red Dawn.
  16. I can't remember the last time I was handed a physical script. The doc's all want to call it in to your pharmacy for you now. I'm guessing that cuts down on fake scripts.
  17. Hum. I hadn't looked at those. Looks like most of their red dots are 4MOA dots, especially those in the sub-$200 range. Looks like the Ultradot 6 and the Ultradot Matchdot offer selectable dot sizes starting at 2MOA and go for $200-$250. Not bad.
  18. For plinking a $100ish red dot is perfectly fine.
  19. Wow. I figured Springfield would come out with a tiny single stack 9 like everyone else. So what do they have in the pipeline? Check this out: http://xdspistol.com/specs.php Just a smidge bigger than an LC9 (+0.3" length, +0.1" width, -0.1" height) and you get 6 rounds of .45ACP. Daaaaayuuuum.
  20. Nice work. Better than I can do, that's for sure.
  21. On the one hand I always like to see people trying something new to see how well it works. On the other hand, not in MY gun, thankyewverramuch.
  22. "A real man doesn't .." (wear pink, shoot a pink gun etc..) "A real man doesn't care what you think."
  23. Based purely on the information released so far I'd have to vote for him to go to trial on charges of (at a minimum) manslaughter.
  24. Looks like a copy of the Kel Tec P11.
  25. Poor little guy. People don't realize how many snakes are around them. Thing is, if they know where you are you'll likely never see them. They generally have no interest in us beyond avoiding us.
