  1. I guess I am in trouble then as we often see eye to eye on many things. I think the storm is a great little gun. I have a friend that has a bunch of 92 mags so it just made sense for him to get one of these. Now that I am reloading I can shoot his for just about the same money as a 22... Mark

    New M&P9c Carry

I just finished another training class with Randy Lee (apex tactical). He is an absolutely stand up guy. His M&P stuff is great but you should see what he can do to a revolver! The rest of his folks are really good as well and very experienced. I'm pretty much a sig guy through and through but playing with one of the M&P's he brought to the class has me thinking about what I could cull to generate some funds. Mark
  3. I was excited about Trader Joes opening here in Nashville until I realized they wouldn't be selling wine (I really wish that law would change). I like the Shiraz ok. The cab is decent too but I mostly use the cab for cooking. I put a whole bottle in when I make a big batch of my red sauce for pasta... I think I'm now going to have to run home and cook up some sketty...

    RESTREPO

    Looks very powerful
  5. XD, do you think people would like to bring dogs or burgers if I brought a portable gas grill? Mark

    Indy 500

Pretty good race. One of the better one's in recent history. The wreck at the end was pretty bad but it could have been a lot worse. There were several cars that had really close calls that could have been involved, including Danica. I thought the television coverage was pretty bad. They didn't have nearly enough cameras to catch the action. They need to bring the Nascar guys in to shoot and produce the race. Mark
  7. I've been waiting on someone to suggest a g-26. I don't like shooting glocks at all. Nothing wrong with them, they just don't fit me. However, the g-26 is a different story. I really like that little thing. it shoots great and as is very accurate for me. I'm pretty sure you can find a used one in your price range. Good luck in your search, Mark

    Lunch pic

Now you guys.... Ya'll should know by now that that was colored water. If it had been REAL alcohol somebody surely would have been shot... That was a good looking meal! Mark
  9. Hey, my 550 needs a pretty blue coat like yours. I didn't know they made covers...
  10. I like the second one. Punch Punch Punch...click Apparently he didn't buy the correct tv gun that has unlimited ammo...
  11. So far I'm good for any of the dates. I have some pistol testing to do there tonight so I'm hoping to swing by right after work.
  12. Both without a doubt. I wasn't sure until I took my first night time class then there was no doubt. Mark
  13. -34 for me. I think I will get my wife to take the test and see how she does. Maybe it will open her eyes a bit.
  14. It looks to me like the gold dots in general didn't perform quite as well as I'd hoped. But in both my 9's and 40's they sure shoot well... When we had a Sig 232 we carried critical defense in it. The primary reason was it cycled 100% in the gun and was the only SD round to do so. It also shot just a bit softer which my wife liked and it seemed to have the smallest flash in low light (very unscientific testing by us on that) Mark
  15. Malaguena by Stan Kenton
  16. From what I understand from a couple of friends on the force, good... Wonder if we can get someone a little more pro-2a in here? My guess is not but I guess I can hope.
  17. Big rumors floating around yesterday about the gas tanks rupturing and "everyone" keeping it quiet. It started mini runs in several areas. It was pretty easy to see that the refueling stations were under water or had blocked roads. I would imagine that it will clear itself out in a few days
  18. There will be some people that are completely devastated by this; especially those that were flooded and don't have flood insurance. But, tons of pople just got jobs back in the construction industry. I doubt Opry Mills will be this way but Opryland Hotel already issued a statement that they were going to keep everyone fully employed until the hotel reopens. I hope that wasn't a feel good statement as it will be alot of money but maybe their insurance policy covers it. Good for some, bad for others. It is up to us to help those that are on the wrong side of this. Mark
  19. I've always thought their pistol ammo was a bit dirty
  20. Nope, BigPoppa has been busy..... I kid, I kid... I took his shotgun course and we had a blast shooting various things he brought with him. Mark
  21. yes, love them. very accurate
  22. Pretty much gold dots in everything. In my 357 sigs the bonded version, in 40 the regular but I do intersperse ball about every 3 for barrier penetration (probably dumb, I know). In 9mm gold dots in both regular and short barreled version (+p) In my g26 and my wife's 9mm's are critical defense. It shoots just a bit softer and still seems to penetrate well...
  23. Yes it is very old, but still a good one...
  24. What a great advocate you've become. I hate that your life took that turn though. Mark
  25. no damage here. Just going to be stuck for a couple more days... Getting frustrated watching how bad things are getting in various areas and not being able to get out and help...
