  1. They way we shot was 10 shots at 3 yards, 10 yards, 15 yards, back to 10 and then back to 3 for a total of 50. To be honest, and I really don't mean anything to anyone but you can almost shoot this with closed eyes and still qualify. In my class there were probably 15 people that rented guns and shot for one of their very first times. They never hit the center of the target but still qualified with no problem. Mark
  2. I'm with Jeremy, outside of a gunstore the only times I see people OC'ing are various police in plain clothes. Not detectives, more like regular officers off duty or special team members. They also usually have a small badge pinned near the gun. Mark
  3. Man, I wasn't paying attention... I knew there was an upgrade looming but I didn't know exactly when. This forum and the Sig forum are pretty much the only firearms forums I participate in. Last night they both decided to upgrade at the same time. I'm pretty sure there was a conspiracy and I was completely out of tin foil... On top of that I can't get the fox news site right now or last night. Not exactly sure what is going on with that either. But, I love the new graphics!
  4. Did we make a decision on the grill? I just need to know if I should bring it or not. Mark

    whoohoo...!

The goodness continues... I've wanted a 357 sig barrel for my 226 for a while but they have been out of stock. Today I got the e-mail saying they were in so I ordered one before they sold out again. You guys better stay away from me. I'm sure I getting ready to get hit by lightning or something Mark
  6. I wish I could carry OC every day. It is much more comfortable... My wife also has her permit and won't carry except when she goes on trips by herself. I hope she doesn't have to have an incident to get her to change her mind... Mark
  7. Because they already have the 10mm?

    whoohoo...!

Good advice...but then I wouldn't need the 26. Decisions, decisions...

    whoohoo...!

Just picked up a new to me glock 33 in excellent condition. Not a big glock fan but I love the subcompacts. The 26 was lonely and I'm a big fan of 357 sig so... I'm thinking I will be able to go to the range tonight. I should be able to get some pics up tonight. Mark
  10. are you allowed to drink that in a restaurant? I would think you would have to carry it home and sneak it...
  11. Is that from 5.11?
  12. Only reason is money... Bags are cheap Mark
  13. Did you notice at the end of the article it said to tell them if it was flood damaged or just extra? Another reason I think I am going to store my extra ammo in vacuum sealed bags. Easier to be safe than sorry... Mark
  14. double post...
  15. Well, one of the chipmunks in my head wandered off so now I only have one running on the little round wheel... I did think this thread looked vaguely familiar but I obviously didn't look closely enough Mark
  16. As I start to spread my reloading wings I am stepping into some other calibers besides 9 & 40. I ordered some 125 fmj bullets for 357 sig practice rounds. My first order from Montana Gold was filled promptly and got here in just a couple of days. Pretty good service Next in and also arriving today was a small order from Midway. 62 gr 223 barnes tsx and some 62 gr fmj for practice. Finally some sierra hollow points for 357 sig hotter loads Now I get to expand my horizons and have some fun. Wish me luck, Mark
  17. I think that is a great idea; where were you a few months back when I was trying to figure out what to buy? Next up on my list is 357 sig. My first bottleneck so I'm sure I will have questions... Mark
  18. Sonny, I think the Square Deal machine is a bit limited on calibers. You might want to check the available calibers before you make a decision. I recently started reloading and ended up going with a 550, For me the first requirement was quantity as I shoot a ton of pistol. It is more expensive to go that way but my time is worth a lot to me. I knocked out 400 rounds of 40 in about 90 minutes saturday morning. Others can go faster but I am still watching things closely and stopping a lot. I hope to buy a single stage this fall so that I can start loading precision rifle rounds. I'm slowly getting in to distance shooting and reloading for that will be fun but different. Mark
  19. They seem to be spreading from East Tn towards Nashville. My guess is that they will be a real problem here soon. I wish we could hunt them with Night Vision stuff. That seems to be the best way to control them. I have buddies in Mississippi that hunt them with pistols. It is a hoot but you have to be a good shot and quick... Mark
  20. Not ever in my experience on 3 different airlines so far. Only one airline asked to show that it was locked. They really could care less... Mark
  21. Helped wifey set up for a yard sale, loaded about 400 rounds of .40. Was a good boy and cooked breakfast then I got to pick up and unload 3 loads of mulch. Now icing sore muscles before going out to eat... Mark
  22. Well this is the first time I've watched this. Obviously I don't understand a lot of what is going on... So after watching for about 30 minutes I'm trying to decide if I should keep watching or go pull some fingernails out with pliers. Who needs waterboarding? We should just pipe this in to cells of terrorists
  23. Should we bring our concealed carry badges?
  24. My DVR is loaded and ready to go...
