  1. 200 crows? So it was a murder?
  2. Well, it was time to can some stock today. I've been making stock off and on and just kept freezing it until I had time to can it. Cold snowy days are good times to run the pressure canner. Anywho, didn't realize how much i had stuck in the freezer. Ended up with 24 quarts between beef and chicken stock. I didn't realize I was going to do this all day. Went ahead and dug out the turkey carcass and cooked it off. Now I have about 6 more quarts to can then I will be done with that for a while... Mark
  3. A fine night to restart old threads... I did end up getting a mr heater as it is easy for my wife to deal with if I am not here. But, yesterday I just couldn't stand it and went to TSC and picked up a kerosene heater just in case. So now I have redundancy... I tolerate the cold really well but the older I get the more I just want to be comfy... There was about 15 at the TSC in Franklin. They all went out the door in about 15 minutes. Mark
  4. Well... I've been bad and not run my generator in about 5 years. I used to be really proactive and run it every 3 months unless we'd had it out camping. I did shut it down correctly but anyway... Today I changed the oil and spark plug, cleaned the air filter and filled it up. Started on the first pull. You've got to love Honda's... Mark
  5. I'm pretty busy on Thursdays but I can squeeze out some time and would happily volunteer to be the Treasurer of this new and wonderful organization... Mark
  6. Donnel Milam. 5 or 6 of my friends have used her and have been pleased
  7. I know, it was all fun and hilarity till people got all serious... Mark
  8. I opened this thread with great interest. When you said nostalgic I really figured to see something midieval. I figured maybe you made some old fashioned suit of armor or something... But, don't let that take away from the plaque, it looks cool...
  9. ^^^^ Seems a few days early for that. Usually it is right after Christmas after everyone gets their new toys and looks for something like TGO. The new folks read back a long ways and get excited about old threads...   Not throwing stones, pretty sure I did it to...   Mark
  10. Man... I was REALLY hoping that was a duck call in your pocket...
  11. I've been thinking more and more about a custom ar-10 with a longish (20") barrel that I would want to be able to suppress. I see they offer custom plates, how would one know what to tell them to drill them to? Thanks, Mark
  12. For some reason this cracked me up. Not that it happened but the way you conveyed it. Mark
  13. The latest 299 Days hit today. Funny, it didn't show up on Amazon under 299 Days. Had to look for: Change of Seasons. Mark
  14. Sigh... I'm beginning to think I'm never going to own one of those... Nice rifle, Mark
  15. Made it to D&T today to pick mine up. I was out of town all week and it was killing me not to be able to get everything picked up. Thanks again to all involved for making this happen. The folks at D&T were nice to deal with. I think it would be cool to give everyone a few months to get their builds done then get together as many as possible for a group pic... Maybe a nice early spring shoot... Mark
  16. That is WAY cool... I don't need to spend any more money on assembly tools but this is going on the list. I wanted to buy some extra springs for spare parts so I needed something to round out the purchase anyway... Mark
  17. I am glad to hear it...   I would be happier if I wasn't out of town until Saturday though...
  18. Yep, a rifle case feeder and a powder check would really be helpful when it was time to crank out a bunch of .223
  19. Well... Color me blue with envy... I am seriously thinking of adding a 650 to the mix for all my small primer stuff and leaving my 550 set up for large primer ammo. Mark
  20. I am in the process of finishing up a trust with Chip. It has been very easy on my part and he is easy to deal with. I'm just really hoping this money isn't wasted. So another endorsement for Chip. Mark
  21. My wife sent me a link to a couple of concealed carry purses this morning. I thought, I really need to get her something that will fit well in it. Then, here was this thread. Apparently it is a psa Christmas today.
  22. yep, except mine doesn't have any red on it
  23. That is a great site. Thanks, Mark
  24. Hey Mac, do you know someone that engraves dust covers? I see a bunch that are pre-engraved but haven't found someone that admits to doing it.   I would really like to get a picture of a bulldog engraved on the dust cover of the carbine she is getting for Christmas. I would also like to engrave the phrase "War Dawg" on it.   She would actually think I was cool for a few minutes and I have to grab that feeling when I can.   Mark
