Ok, finally had a minute to put the 2nd one together. This one is all for me. Did a quick 10 round function test. Hopefully I will get a chance to zero the red dot this week. Upper, lower, and bolt courtesy of CMT Coating from CCR Trigger (Geissele) and Rail (Troy) from VTAC VLTOR buffer stuff Aimpoint T-1 on a LaRue mount and Tango down cover Surefire flash hider & a couple of Magpul goodies Not included (yet) Tax Stamp from Uncle Sam - check back in about 365 days apparently... Mucho thanks to all my invisible internet friends here who either asked the questions I needed the answer to or answered the questions I needed answers to. And, thanks to a very understanding wife for her never ending patience... Mark

If we get capes and cloaks, can we get Kilts? I think sewing the logo across the backside would keep us from getting shot from behind... (I shall leave now...)

Not that I was ever moving to CA, but...
Mark A replied to Hozzie's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
California is the proof of concept for this strategy. If someone doesn't figure out how to sue them and win all of the occupied states will mirror this law. Look for the renewal fees to keep going up until no one sells in their various states. Won't have to worry about concealed carry laws if there are no handguns to buy. Mark -
He also made sure to mention that there was another guy in the same uniform that made more saves then he did goals Seems to be a classy dude.

If I get a chance to build the 2nd this weekend I will get some decent pics and post them. Mark

Not even close to the truth. Just to be clear, I'm not Catholic. I just freakin hate the UN. If the UN wants anything from the Vatican they should shut up and take notes. The Vatican has been guiding world policies for centuries. It hasn't always been good leadership but they are the gold standard for working behind the scenes... Mark

Shhhh! I'm trying to influence people here...

I think it was a stellar deal. I would have been happy with a few more but understand why it was limited. I had just enough time to get them to CCR for coating and back to me to put the first one together for my buddies birthday at the beginning of January. I think I am finally going to have time to put mine together this weekend. The FDE coating from CCR was fantastic. I kind of wish I'd sent my lower controls in for their super black treatment. It would have really set the FDE off. Thanks again to MacGyver and CMT. ( now time for a couple of AR10 TGO kits)

12 hours or less is my new rule for biz travel unless I REALLY have to get in and out in a day.

good looking cars but their interiors aren't the best and their seats absolutely kill my back

Pellethead here. I have a Traeger but there are a lot more options on the market now. Some of them have really nice controls for precise temperature control -
Thus, the floating armories out there with security personnel living on them. Ship comes out of port, good guys get on, and get off before the next port of call. I imagine it is a pretty boring way to make a living...

Nope, we've been fortunate there. I am an aggressive faucet dripper when it gets really cold. Main waterline outside the subdivision broke. The utility guys are working on it now. I was coming back from a 3 day trip to Knoxville when the wife called. I was really looking forward to a hot shower when I got home. Then, I passed the utility guys working in a muddy trench, in the dark, in "oh my gosh" cold weather. Tuned my attitude right up. Mark Ps: this is the third time we've had to use a bit of our stored water. After fighting me about doing it for years having stored water has become a prepping gateway drug for my wife.

Is not supposed to coincide with said water being a slushy. Whew... It is damn cold Mark

So you want to see a picture of some of the Walmart problem?
Mark A replied to hardknox00001's topic in General Chat
Eventually, one of these guys are going to cross someone having a bad day and will get shot. Besides the someone getting shot part that very well could be the day Walmart gets out of the game all together -
Back in my restaurant days when my bartenders got slammed I would get behind the bar and help. Usually I worked the service bar so the regular bartenders could work their customers. After finishing a couple of drinks I sensed someone out of the corner of my eye. I spun around and said: " yes ma'am... Sir... Ma'am... Needless to say, she wasn't happy with me. Toughest looking girl I've ever seen... Mark

I hope this shuts all you round earthers up forever. I was in North Carolina the other day skipping rocks into the ocean. I hit one juuuusssst right and it skipped right out of view. It is completely obvious to me that it skipped right off the edge of the world and eventually landed on mars. the fact that it happened as the rover went by was just fortunate luck on my part. Mark

The math on the energy equation will never work. You can't peg it just to gas mileage. It takes a ton of new energy to get the raw materials and produce cars which are then transported to their various destinations. I seriously doubt the math would work if all the new cars sold got 100 mpg. It was a total waste of money, destroyed the used car market (which is easily still feeling the ramifications today) and hurt the people on the lowest end of the economic side of things

Another New AR Caliber Debuted At SHOT
Mark A replied to StPatrick's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
At first I thought Twilight Sparkle = glitter which = stripper dust which = strippers and I was happy where we were headed. Then, I Googled Twilight Sparkle and was depressed... The round does look like something that would look good in the dark of a club and not so good in the light of day... Glad I never experienced THAT before... Mark -
Don't let the coverage maps fool you, t-mobile has horrible coverage away from larger cities. Our company uses t-mobile. I had to buy a pay as you go verizon phone to be able to talk to customers once I got off the interstate. Coverage even on the interstate is not great. They are 5 years behind Verizon in coverage in my opinion Mark
