  1. These are units that were never completed for various reasons but mostly because costs skyrocketed after Three Mile Island.
  2. Hi... My name is Mark and I'm a readaholic... I'm so desperate for something decent to read I just read this entire thread, again, for like the 4th time. I tell myself that maybe I missed something but the sad truth is I read it for something to read. There are a few books listed in the thread that I haven't read since they didn't sound that appealing but they are edging closer and closer to the top. I've been fighting the urge to start Game of Thrones. I really don't need to get lost down that rabbit hole for weeks but apparently it is getting ready to happen. So, I will keep looking but I guess I just need to be patient for the next book in the (insert series name here) to come out.
  3. I agree, both of them...
  4. Put your decoder ring on, go out at noon on a sunny day and point it at the nearest contrail. The details will be holographically projected in front of you. If you get a message from Princess Leia you wore the wrong ring...
  5. David, I couldn't be more pleased with the 308 set I bought from CMT. It went together very easily and the fit and finish is perfect. I took a couple friends shooting on New Year's Day and they liked it the best by a wide margin.

    AR lengths?

Hmmm.... Where is that dislike button when you need it? That sentence was just rude...😎 You guys just won't quiet down about the 300... You are going to make me sell some stuff to build one...

Anyone in the Nashville area have both? I would like to do a comparison of the gas systems.   Thanks, Mark
  9. You didn't pull out your Dillin mini gun and lay waste to the entire restaurant? Very disappointed...
  10. So Demetri is now the hamburglar?
  11. Continuing to can here and there when I have a spare moment. This weekend was smoked turkey pot pie. Last weekend I smoked a turkey, stripped it to the carcass and made turkey stock. This weekend I used the stock and meat to make a big batch of turkey pot pie. I ended up with 8 quarts, 5 pints, and two containers of frozen that we are going to use Monday. Normally I would use my dehydrated veggies for this but when I went to krogers to get a few things I saw they had their store brand frozen veggies on sale 10/10. I scooped up a bunch of peas, carrots, and onions and added some fresh celery. Every now and then it is nice to do something to cut down on prep time. Anyway, this was the first time for this recipie and I am pretty happy with it. I did add some red pepper flakes as I like things a little spicier than most folks. If you are interested in the recipie search for "canning diva chicken pot pie" Thanks, Mark
  12. And so far not available electronically... Weird, I was trying to figure out why it wasn't available for kindle. Then I went back to Amazon and there it was...

    New AR308!

When I needed one I couldn't find one. I bought a 16" and sent it to mike at Law Enforcement Sales. He cut it down and threaded it for me. He did a great job. I think it ended up 13" long. Mine is back apart but I hope to have it all back together in about a week. I ordered a SLR Rifleworks adjustable gas block to try on it. I plan on running my suppressor on this most of the time. Mark
  14. People hear transformers and think of the little guys hanging on power poles. The main transformers first in line after generators are massive. Blow those and it is game over. Mark
  15. Besides the fact that most have some type of keyed access, I'm betting a lot of people would be surprised at how easy it is to get into the majority of these safes...
  16. I know a lot of folks who have done SBR's. I don't know anyone that has done a SBS. According to those figures there were almost 2,000 more short barreled shotguns than SBR's. Am I missing something? Did I read it incorrectly?
  17. mrh3s, what gas block did you use?    Thanks, Mark
  18. I don't get too wrapped up in loads as I think most modern rounds of SD ammo are pretty good. Where intend to pay attention a bit more is when loading for anything short barreled. I tend to like Speer rounds designed for short barrels.
  19. Apparently they were having a sale or something...   Actually they had some really great prices but I am not in the market right now and am trying to stay away from building anything else AR related for a while.   Between them and JP Rifles I was really popular this weekend
  20.   No one injured? I had to go to the ER with a sprained clicker finger from clicking so much... Injuries aren't just for pro athletes you know...     Of course, I had no idea of their sale but now that I know there is one today I might just poke around for a sec and see what there is to see...
  21. Yep, it was an interesting book. Looking forward to where they take the next installment. Mark
  22. G29 and full boogie underwood ammo - whee!!! Georgia arms for putting around range stuff. Soon I will have enough brass to start rolling my own
  23. Not took far from our farm... Let me get some trees down then I will give you a shout. Mark
  24. Hmm... I have a couple of trees down that need to be cut up and hope to knock a bunch more down this weekend. I might have to bribe you with some wood to come see your installation.
