10 seconds in and I was ready to spray myself with the pepper spray...

Taking a quick peek online but not seeing it yet. Do they upgrade the axles and such to handle the power?

That looks like it is going to be a lot of fun to shoot...

Color me green and every other color with envy.

Nice blaster you've got there. I keep getting excited about these stocks. Then I worry about a decent cheek weld. I sure hope to see one in person soon. Mark

So I'm looking around the net and not seeing anything about this since Feb of 2014. I don't do facebook. Did I miss new info? Thanks, Mark

Oh well, going to stick with plan anyway... Mark

One year after auto downloaded the other night. I'm just about done re-reading the Black Tide Rising series. I think I will re-read 1 second after and then go to 1 year after. It has been a while since 1 second after and I want to refresh my memory of the characters... Mark

Rain storage was my first thought as well.

Ima get me a popcorn machine and sell popcorn as we watch the great pyramid sink into the Mississippi mud...

You guys are just imagining this. I know it because for the next 3 days I'm on the wrong side of the big river, actually both big rivers. So I know nothing is going to happen until Friday afternoon when I'm headed home. If you persist in spreading this fear mongering I'm going to stick my head in the sand...

Here is my super secret squirrel method for buying and selling stocks. It helps if you live near Chattanooga. Once a week drive up I-24 and go past the Covenant Trucking dispatch yard. If there are a bunch of trucks sitting there sell. If the lot is empty buy. The trucks always park before a turn down gets noticed and they are among the first to get going when things are ready to pick back up. It has worked better than any other tool I've found. Mark

I finally finished my 300 blk build and cycled 15-20 rounds by hand. These were 220 gr rounds. I'm getting a touch of scarring on the front 1/2 of the bullet. I'm assuming this is probably from the feed ramps. Never had a gun do that before. It isn't deep but I can feel it when I run a finger over it. It does not appear to cause an issue with the round chambering. Is this something I want to gently polish or should I cycle more ammo and see if it self clearances or is the answer get off the computer and go shoot the darn thing??? Thanks, Mark

Wow... so nice... That is how dads get to immortality. Not because he gave you a cool thing but because you will think of him and smile every single time you see the gun or even the box... As far as Weatherby ammo expense, Percentage wise I will bet Weatherby has inspired as many reloaders as any single brand... As cool as unfired guns are I would be hard pressed not to spend a few minutes every year on his birthday touching a few off. You may not ever do anything else with the gun but it would be a great way to create a shared memory even if he doesn't pull the trigger himself. Do it this year even if his birthday has already passed and then promise each other you are going to do it again same time next year. Renew that promise every year... Mark PS: Midway USA has 270 Weatherby Magnum ammo by Weatherby, Nosler and Norma.

Since you brought it back up I decided to quote myself. This thing is fantastic. I really like the water we get. I added the fluoride filters and it got just a little better. We clean ours whenever it gets slow and it goes back to normal. I bought 2 more sets of filters and I'm not sure yet if we will ever need them. We are going to buy a 2nd one soon to leave in our camper on our land. We finally got our well in so we don't have to carry water back and forth. Good advice from team Sourkraut-Supafly... Mark

Ok, garden stuff time again... my home based raised beds did pretty terrible this year. I've been working on slowly and naturally improving the soil. Last year was pretty good so I had high hopes for this year. Pffffttttttt... Oh well... Also, we decided at the last minute to plant a garden at the property we bought last summer. We were told that the soil wasn't very good and that it would take a lot of chemical inputs which I don't care to do. Mostly we planted some stuff just to see where we were. Of course, it exploded... I know, typical gardening story right? Anyway, for the first time we want to plant a small fall garden. Mostly leafy stuff. Going to try to stagger some seeds and use cold boxes to try to grow until it gets really cold. So, when to start in mid Tn? Now, a few weeks from now? What say you? Thanks, Mark

I like the 327 mag cartridge. If this rifle were available I would probably buy one. Then I would have an excuse to buy a 327 snubby...

My grandfather is there. It has been a couple of years since I've visited. Sounds like it is time to go back...

Ehull, 2 weekend ago I put a SLR rifleworks adjustable gas block on my 10.5 for suppressor use and also because I was taking it to a carbine simunitions class and wanted adjustbility just in case. It's worked well so far. I also have a re-drilled gas valve for my sig 5.56 but haven't had a chance to install it yet. maybe next weekend. Maroonandwhite, I was on the fence about adding a 300blk to my SBR. I wanted to do it but held off as I just don't have time to reload right now. I ordered everything for a top end last Thursday. It will all be here next wed. I've always kept a 870 in the bedroom as my "bump in the night" gun but lately a suppressed 300 blk SBR shooting subsonic ammo has sounded appealing ( or not sounded, if the plan comes together : - ) ) May

That me... It is not a bad cheek weld at all. Mark

Anytime I head out more than about 10 miles my sig 556 pistol goes with me. I've had it since 2010. I'm pretty good out to about 50 yards with it using a single point sling. I practice out to 100 yards but 50 is my line unless I end up in the wide open desert. Last year I added a sig brace pre- mounted on a buffer tube. I keep them in the front compartment of the backpack the pistol rides in. It takes a couple of minutes to install; time which I may or may not have. Confidence and accuracy go way up when I can shoulder it. All of my customers except one are now in border states that I can drive to so no issues legally with my permit. I just finished a 308 pistol. I like it a lot but it is harder to be low key with it. However, it sure does bring the pain, especially when going against vehicles. Mark

Congrats... Still on the fence about one of these. Someday one of my buddies will buy one and I will play with it a bit.

This is terrible... It pisses me off to no end that our military installations are unarmed. Maybe it wouldn't have mattered in an ambush situation but just the fact that they are unarmed makes them an attractive target... Apparently we (our wonderful political leadership) will never learn... Actually, they probably know and don't care since they aren't in the line of fire. Mark

I know it is a fluid situation but it is hard to get a sense of what is happening. The mayor tweeting that it was a "horrific situation" doesn't help. I don't know about you guys - and even 1 person shot is bad - but horrific to me means multiple fatalities/kids/nuns etc... Here's hoping that any good guys shot come through 100% and any bad guys are partaking in a dirt nap. Mark

So far my pepper plants are doing poorly. I had a great year last year. I'm hoping the heat headed our way this week will kick them into gear... Mark
