Just have these guys fix your gun up for you and don't worry about light reflecting or rust. COLOR & CAMO GRAPHICS Kinda expensive, but I have seen a gun they did up close and it does look nice. I know these kits are sold so you can do this same thing at home now.

That sounds about right. I used to make jerky very similar to this before I started using the Hi Mountain Jerky Cure and it always come out pretty good with whole muscle meat.

Our turkeys disappeared after bow season too. Just vaporized not long after I pulled the feeders.

A guy at work has one for sale if you are looking to buy now. PM if so. I thought about getting a crossbow for my daughter and having her use a shooting stick to prop it up when hunting. You should not have to worry about all the set up involved with a compound bow. Just need to sight it in with a scope or red dot. Just a few minutes ago I ordered a pink camo Bear Apprentice compound bow for her for Christmas. She is big enough for a compound now and I decided to just go that route.

Hog hunting is great fun, but shooting semi-feral domestic pigs shouldn't be called hunting.

Nice Deer DRM!

I put up a blind this afternoon and sat in the snow/sleet. However, I cranked the buddy heater on HIGH. It was still cold, but atleast I wasn't shaking uncontrollably. Didn't see anything but squirrels and chipmunks.

Nice buck. Hopefully he will be bigger next year.

I was at a shooting range in south Florida and had a Florida Panther walk just behind the 1000 yard gong. Wild pigs used to come out all the time. They are pretty oblivious at times though. The Panther was cool.

I use High Mountain too. I mix the Hickory and Sweet and Spicy mixed half/half and follow the enclosed instructions. I have also used High Country jerky seasoning, but I didn't like the flavor I bought as well. I got the Campfire Snack Sticks flavor and used the jerky shooter gun to make some caseless snack sticks. They were good, just not as good as the High Mountain. I also usually add a little extra salt, black pepper and red pepper. I have never had good results adding Worcestershire sauce or Dales. It always ends up too salty for me. I have a package of the LEM that came with my gun, but I haven't tried it yet. I have heard good things about it though. The greatest thing about buying these jerky seasonings packages is that they come with "cure" that helps preserve the meat allowing you to not have to over dry the meat and make it too tough to eat.

Go coyote hunting... I know, no one likes a smarta$$.

Let me know if it turns out to be a left handed gun.

It won't fit. The screw on extensions work well. They don't get loose if you put a drop of loctite on it at installation.

Great deer GunTroll. Glad the old MO produced for you this year. He is a real bruiser.

Sorry if this is a re-post, but I searched and didn't find it. GunBlood Western Shootout - Flash Shooting Games - OfficeGameSpot So my best so far is a 272 score and killed in the final round. My daughter beat it, but not such a great score. Have fun! GunBlood Gunfighter game Quick Draw Flash game

Good looking rifle too. What caliber is it?

The last buck I grunted at ran away so fast I though he was going to break a leg. I am grunt-shy now. I wish I could find a doe call that I really liked. I have a few, but they just don't sound right to me. I need to do a little tuning on them.

Great deer WD. I guess I should have called in to work and hunted with you all week.

During the check in process, the clerk checking in the deer should ask the following questions of the hunter: Was it a Male or Female? If Male, How many points? Weapon used? (I think they ask this) Was the deer killed on a WMA? If no, WHAT COUNTY? I am sure that the clerk simply forgot to ask you what county you killed the deer in. I am sure the clerk simply assumed that you killed the deer in Jackson county. Had they asked, I am sure you would have told them the county that you legally killed the deer in...

Well I am certain that the Marlin's rear sight is dovetailed. So for future reference, if you ever want the iron to be sighted, you can probably get them there. Like you said, with the scope, no need to worry with it. What scope did you put on top? That little marlin should be a good shooter. They have a good reputation. -
my82cam, brother I hope this is enough to get you to read the hunting regulations. It took me all of about 2 minutes to look at the TWRA website, click on the hunting tab, click on the "Deer Seasons and Regulations" link and read the antler-less table. I know I ain't your momma, but hope that you take the lesson from this experience. I learned a lesson by letting a game warden in Florida tell me that I wasn't legally hunting hogs on a particular WMA. I didn't hunt that day, but I did go home and print out the regulation that said I could hunt and presented it to him the next day. He apologized for not knowing the regs and I got to hunt. Point is, I had spent the time reading the regs and I do it again EVERY year, for EVERY area I hunt and for EVERY species I plan to hunt. It's just a good habit to start now.

Increase your force. Use your thumb to push up in the buckhorn sight while you slide the ramp. Also these sights are usually dovetailed into the barrel and can be drifted left or right a little. Sometimes the front sights are dovetailed too and can be drifted. The trick is to have the right tools and not mess up your gun. What model gun do you have? Perhaps I have owned the same or someone else is familiar with the same model. There aren't many popular .22 rifles that I haven't owned at some point. -
The check in process isn't the best. It may alert an officer, but I doubt it. I think I would be in cat mode at this point.
