1.   Yeah, I have started brushing dale's on instead of marinading in it. It also has MSG, which some don't like. Moore's is a good alternative that is MSG free.
2. I'm a fan of salt and pepper brisket. For me, that yields the best taste. I may do one for Mother's Day weekend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
3.
When you said ninja boots my first thought was.....Is he finally wearing crocs lol.
LOL, I swear I considered it this morning. The fear of snakes stopped me short. :) I do love these muck boots though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Story at 11. :)Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just over 23 pounds, 1.5" spurs and 10" beard. Not my highest scoring bird, but my oldest. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

7. Passed on a small 2 year old today. Hoping to get the boss on that farm, but time is running out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
8.
Agree their retail prices are crazy, but I got all my eggs for less than $500, and I've purchased two dozen to-date for friends and family. If you ate food from one then you would even be willing to pay retail, it's just something you have to try to understand, it's as addictive as crack... :-)
Can we be friends and/or family? :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
9.   My understanding of the Minion method was spreading a layer of lit coals over a pile of cold coals. I was doing that a long time ago, but I didn't know it had a name. :)    The beauty of the sawdust snake box, that's what I call them, is that you can smoke with or without heat or without affecting heat. In my old age, I am using an electric smoker. The temp is very steady and it produces great meat. But, I have to load the wood chips often and it's a pain. I can put one of these boxes in at the beginning and get all the smoke I would ever need for a cook. Also, there is less chance of flare up when using these.
10. Congrats! Glad you had a productive season. I got a stick full of feathers too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
11. The AMNPS is the one I was planning to get, but I had not seen the pellet model. I have a buddy that's been using a homemade one for years. I am mixed on the pellets. I have not had great luck with them in the past, might just go straight dust. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
12. I've been looking at these and similar ones. I am getting one for cold smoking and for added rest like you.
13. We got on birds this morning and got a strutter in front of us, way out. He finally got led off by a hen. My buddy went back this afternoon and killed him.
14. Stupid goblets would not leave the woods today. Gobbled like fools but didn't come to the field. I'll be up in the woods while it's good and dark tomorrow. They will likely run to the field... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
15. Headed out with my daughter in the morning. Hoping she is a good luck charm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
16. Folks, please be careful out there. This incident was an accident, but should have been preventable. Know where your hunting partners are and know what's beyond your target. I hunted opening weekend in Alabama with the young man that shot his friend. They are all experienced hunters. I'll ask you to say a prayer for all involved. 17. Time to break out the strutter decoys and low crawl out to the turkeys. If your knees can take it, it is a helluva rush.
18.
Set up on this morning that was gobbling his head off but, when he flew down he went the opposite direction. He was still gobbling his head off at every call I made. Some toms have a place that they just want to go.
Same problem here. Set up triangulated between 3 gobblers on different hilltops. They all went the opposite direction... I hate turkeys. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
19. Got too close this morning and spooked a couple off roost. They didn't act right the rest of the morning. Going back tomorrow to sit a little further away. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
20. What a crap day. Hunted all day, never got on birds. Would like to sleep in, but going to hit it again tomorrow morning. New place, new hope.
21.
Congratulations Whisky. Who got the other bird? What shotgun have you got there?
I was hunting with a buddy from Kentucky. I shot first around 6:45. Then we spotted the rest of the flock in the next field and put the belly crawl surprise on them. That's my Mossy 535 tactical turkey. Shooting a Pure Gold .670 with 3.5" Hevi Shot Magblends. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
22.
Nice! I'm gonna strap a fan on my gun barrel and do some field crawlin' tomorrow morning! Hear much gobbling?
Tons of gobbling! On the limb and on the ground, every direction. We were surrounded this morning, very blessed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
23. Did someone say, "Double down again!"? Had a great hunt this morning that included some belly crawling behind a Pretty Boy decoy.
