  1. Seriously? Texas Knife Supply has bunches of mastodon Ivory, Walrus, Seacow & occasionally Hippo ivory too This stuff's worth a look too. In the UK it's called Elforyn. I've used it on a few knife handles & it's the closest I've ever seen to antique ivory. Believe it or not, it's actually made from milk! http://www.texasknife.com/vcom/index.php?cPath=587_604_605
  2. Sorry folks. I shouldn't have posted anything. I don't want to get into any more of a Religious debate here. Arguing about belief is pointless.
  3. It would if you wanted to Worship in a Mosque...
  4. But if they're not taking away your personal freedoms, just their own, why the problem? There are fanatics in all religions, (well, maybe not Bhuddists) the 1% that lend the rest to stereotyping. Back in England I lived in a very high Muslim/Christian ratio population & to be honest, I never, ever had a problem with any of them, nor did I hear of anyone havin trouble with them. My nearest major city has over 300 Mosques (Bradford) & almost zero trouble from Muslims (Or for that matter, Sikhs, Hindus or Jains) I'm not a religious person at all, but I admire those that have Belief in whatever form it may take. I just wish that everyone could be more tolerant of each other's beliefs & opinions.
  5. .
  6. Whatever happened to the Costitutional right to Freedom To Worship the Religion of your Choice?????? Guys, not all Muslims are America hating terrorists.
  7. This is why I don't ascribe to any religion. It's all bollocks.
  8. I don't have a clue what it is, but I found it's husband loitering under my truck, yesterday. About 2¾" nose to tail. I swear I could hear the bastard breathing!
  9. Nope, still the same old bent stick & Zwickey deltas for me!
  10. Not many so far... .50 M/L .357 MAG Various sizes of broadhead

  13. Bwwwwaaaaaaaaahahahahhahahahhahaha!!!1 I just lost my dip & half a beer on my laptop! That's the best one I've heard in years!
  14. My upper lip just got a little stiffer & I can feel the chest hairs trying to grow through my shirt. Gotta send this to some of my 'Metro' friends back inna UK. Let 'em know what they're doing wrong.
  15. Best sharpening system in the world.....KME Precision Knife and Broadhead Sharpeners I sharpen literally hundreds of knives a year. I offer a sharpening service for all knives I have made & get a lot of requests for sharpening from friends, hunting buddys & frieds of friends. I've been sharpening freehand on japanese waterstones for 15 years & I can pretty much get anything shaving sharp this way, but since I got the KME system I can guarentee my angles are always consistent & I can do the job in ½ the time. Definately worth the money.
  16. The 6 year old kid in me has just wet himself with envy.
  17. And people ask me why we moved here.... As complicated as it sounds on paper to own any kind of firearm in the UK, the reality is far, far tougher. Even Air rifles are strictly regulated. The legal limit for any air-weapon to be held without a firearms licence is 12ft/lb. That's about 2/3rds the power of anything Walmart sells. Any police officer has the right to confiscate ANY air rifle, to be tested (at their leisure) for power output. Even if th rifel is underthe legal limit, but the testing officer can modify it to shoot over the limit by any means the rifleis deemed to be illegal & you will be arrested for possession of a section 5 firearm. The paranoia surrounding guns or shooting in the UK, even out in the country where I'm from, is astounding. I gave up telling people about my hunting trips to the US, Africa, Europe & Australia years ago, simply because I got sick of justifying & defnding myself to others. Seriously, I cannot express how grateful I am for having the opportunity to move here & enjoy the freedoms you guys have. Please don't ever take them for granted!
  18. Good friend of mine hunting altelope in Wyoming (Circa 1984)
  19. In this case, unfortunately, it's not that we of good conscience remained silent, more that those of ill conscience did what they do best; Swindled, backstabbed, shouted, coerced, cajoled, lied, cheated & manipulated to get their own way, ignoring the logical & honest persuasion & intentions of the conscionable.
  20. 1) Hey Joe. Do you know how many teeth a gator's got? 2) ONEHUNDREDANDTHIRTYFOOOOOUUURRR!!!!!

    Bbl?

Can someone tell me why the word Barrel is abbreviated to bbl, not brl?
  22. C'mon Dove season!
  23. Machete, without a second thought. For a one night stayover there's no need or use to chop any large timber. It's lighter than a hatchet, can be used for cutting brush for beddng/shelter unlike a hatchet, can be used for digging. A hatchet is heavy & not much use for anything but cutting heavier timber. The folding saw is OK, but agai no good for slashing smaller brush or grasses for bedding/shelter.
  24. Mike, I don't know you & have never met you. I've had a pretty good life. Some ups, some downs, but the one thing that has got me through all the bad is doing whatever it takes to get yourself through it. Whether it's God, religion, getting drunk, therapy, or just hauling off & knocking the crap out of whatever's getting to you. If it's something you can discard or get away from, do it. All you can do, is whatever it takes & only you knows what that might be. Pontificating over the existence of a divine being & whatever he or she does or doesn't do isn't going to help.
