  1. Jules & I are over $30k in paperwork & lawyers & just found out this February that we can't feasibly change our status :(
  2. Immigration law, unfortunately :( I have to remain an E2 visa holder for as long as the government will allow me to renew. Then I have to leave. Unless the law changes I have no way of staying here permanently.
  3. http://www.wrcbtv.com/story/25194227/tn-senate-votes-for-open-gun-carry-without-permit Does this mean that as a non-citizen that can't legally get a carry permit, but CAN legally own a firearm, I would be able to legally open carry??
  4. Had to post something so I could see it. Forgot who I was for a second there! That's me taking a break from chasing hogs around Starvation Slough on the Kissimmee river in central Florida.
  5. Can't believe no-one's said it yet..... . . . . . . . . . . . Megashark. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=I16_8l0yS-g
  6. I would estimate that I'm at easily over 50,000 rounds through mine & I've never had a single misfire yet. I recall one shell hanging up & not feeding, but that's it in 5 years. Their customer service is world-freakin' class too!
  7. Say what you will about Gee Dubya, but at least he'd have done SOMETHING. If he were still in charge, our troops would be halfway to New Zealand as we speak.
  8. Beard oil?? Soft & lustrous???? Oi vey. Shave it off & use this on your vagina. Beards are supposed to be course, grizzly & manly.
  9. All I could think after reading the title was that his coffee tastes like crap & his sunglasses are waaay overpriced.
  10. I prefer "I wasn't born in the South, but I got here as quickly as I could"
  11. Non-sexually, I CAN sympathize. Being an English born guy who has been convinced for as long as I can remember, that I should've been born in the US, I personally consider myself to be 100% male , but Trans-continental.
  12. Snapped this on my way back from Florida, last year.
  13. Grizzly Wintergreen for me. I started dipping Swedish Snuss while I was still in the UK, to help me quit smoking. Well, my first trip to the US in '04 & I forgot to pack any. I was really starting to crave badly & bought my first can of Skoal Bandits in Wintergreen. HOLY HELL! Talk about a revelation! Snuss is salt cured & quite unpalatable compared to sweet, sweet Skoal!  I progressed from Bandits to Pouches & finally to Long-Cut a few years ago & traded Skoal for Grizzly 3 years back. I try not to dip to big or too often (I hate to see guys smuggling a golf ball in their lip!) & a can usually lasts me 3 or 4 days. One day I'll get off it, but I know from quitting the ciggies, that my mind has to be in the right place & there's no point in trying to force myself.
  14. "If the outside world is so good, why has mankind spent tens of thousands of years perfecting Inside?" Sheldon Cooper.
  15. Can't we just move the fence 200 miles this way & give it to Arkansas?
  16. It has been odd. I've seen more deer this year than I have in the previous 4 combined & only managed to kill one. I process & butcher deer for a select few friends & last year did 42. This year I've only done 11. Everyone I talk to has said that this has been the worst harvest year any of them can remember, although it's been a bumper year for deer seen. My problem was a combination of cacky weather & seeing deer either just before light or just after it was too dark to shoot. Either that or the little devils were 50yds on the wrong side of the fence :(
  17. In the cab & toolbox right now..... 8x6 tarp wool blanket machete towing strap 2 ratchet straps 2 cans condensed milk* single shot, compact .22 rifle & 20rds ibuprofen wool hat & gloves 5 gallons of water 12v compressor & tire plugs jumper cables rope Eno hammock* towel flashlight 3 cigarette lighters short handled shovel * Not carried on purpose, just never taken out & it seemed like a good idea to leave 'em! Most of these things have been used to get me out of a self-inflicted 'scrape' at some point or other.
  18. 19. Well, I'm now it's proud & very happy owner! :) It's not perfect, there is a little putting on the cylinder in one spot, but the cylinder gap is perfect, lockup is solid & the trigger is unbelievable! I managed to talk him down $25 because of the pitting, but it really doesn't bother me in the least. I've run a few .38s through it & it shoots better than any other handgun I've shot (I'm not a pistol guy) & I'm probably as happy as I've ever been with a new toy! Sent outta my ass by flying monkeys.
  20. It looks like I'm going to take a look at a Dan Wesson .357 tomorrow. From what little I can see in the pics I think it's a 15-2 & I think it's a 1977 going by the serial number. Is there anything particular with these that I should look out for? Seems liked it's priced well ($350) Does this sound about right? I know they're well known to be good shooters, but other than that, I know nothing about them. It's primarily going to be a range/woods-bumming gun, but it may replace my .380 on the night stand.
  21. And beans & bread & canoes & milk & toys & gardening gear & furniture & tires & bicycles & pasta & meat & fruit & candy & custom birthday cakes & hunting licenses & barbecues & fishing tackle & baby things & pet things & guns & school stuff & jewelery & clothes & computers & baking goods & cheese & shoes & you can have your vehicle serviced while you shop & you can have your eyes checked & prescriptions filled......... If you ever move to a country WITHOUT Walmart, you'll understand how awesome all that actually is.
