Y'all that have them fitted on your ARs....does it make a difference in either comfort or accuracy? Which did you choose & why? I'm kinda on the fence about installing one on mine & I don't wanna go tossing money around, all willy-nilly like.....

@ShaggyRS6 Try looking around for a used Gheenoe. I'm currently in the build phase of an old Classic custom I'm rigging purely as a flats boat. They can be picked up for around a grand, on a trailer & on a 13' or 15'4" highsider a 5-10hp outboard will get you around 20mph. They're ridiculously stable too, for a small skiff.

I was really hoping they got into it, but whether it happened farther out, or if The white was just giving us a flyby I couldn't say. That was the only photo we got of them together

Not quite....Albino means the body produces no melonin & therefore there is zero pigmentation Leucism is simply a pure, or mostly pure white color variant. There's still eye, beak & leg color where an albino would be pink in those areas.

I've resecured the trail cam & I'm reeeeeally hoping he comes back!

Long story short, this particular hawk has been visiting us for just over a year. I've spent all that time trying to get a decent photo & this ain't it......yet. It's managed to thwart 4 different trail cameras & me sitting for 4 straight, 14 hour days in a blind. I dumped a deer carcass out in one of my fields a few days ago with hopes of getting some trail cam photos of coyotes & lo and behold, guess who shows up the morning right AFTER the wind blew my trail camera off target...... This was taken from my dining room window, with my phone, through 10x binos

Had my original 1873 Springfield to the range a few weeks back. Lots of fun throwing 510gn subsonic loads at silly distances! The 4ish second wait to hear if I've hit steel at 800yds always gives me a tingle. I'm always amazed by how many people stop shooting to see if they can hear it too!

I'm sure some will wince, but we just signed up for AT&T U-Verse. We HAD to switch over the business phone lines & we've gone from a business phone bill of $153/month to $115/month, plus the Wi-Fi internet thing, so basically....free internet. This literally happened on Saturday & I hooked up my steam-powered laptop (with ropes & sinew) to the tv this weekend & had a look at stuff on Amazon Prime & that works like a charm. I'm assuming that Netflix/hulu/whatever we'll work just as well through one of them stick thingies.

Literally zero. Never watched a team sport in my life, can't imagine a scenario where I ever would!

For the first time in 9½ years, I now have a reliable internet provider at the house. Up until now, all I've had is my cellphone & things like Netflix, Prime tv etc... we're concepts I wasn't able to appreciate. However, I'm now able to stream stuff & do the whole internet tv deal & I was wondering: How many of you have made the switch away from Direct tv & gone totally digital? Is there anything you miss? Any regrets? I'm thinking I could save myself $200+ a month, but as yet I'm not familiar enough with Netflix et al to know what's really going on/how to use it properly.

Did you ask at the gun counter? Because BP is an explosive & not a propellant (batfe regs....) it has to be kept locked away with no public access. You have got to ask for it.

Well.....it turns out I hit him perfectly the first shot. He ran across an open field. I shot & he walked off into a brush pile. 2 minutes later 'he' walks out of the brush pile & starts feeding. I shot again & saw dirt fly under his belly. Shot again & saw dirt in the same spot buy he's had enough by then. I never even considered going to look for blood because he acted unharmed. I wouldn't have guessed in a million freaking years that there was already a nice buck in the brush pile when mine ran in there.... A buddy hunted there today & found him 10 feet from where I shot him. Really unfortunately, coyotes got up in his guts & ruined both hams & the 240gn Magtech took care of the offside shoulder

I missed the same 10, 3 frikkin' times yesterday evening. I've gotta assume my scope's janked. 3 open field shots, all under 100yds!!

I'm super picky & thorough when I butcher. I process deer for myself & 3 friends & unless there is serious meat damage (bloodshot, bone fragments dirt etc....) I get right at 45% That's including the rib meat & neck. 99% of processors deal with hams, legs, loins & that's it. It's super rare to find one that'll strip & clean the neck/ribs because it's just not cost effective for them. What you got back seems to be about in line with what I'd expect.

If it tells you anything, I've got 6 Vortex scopes. 3 Crossfires in the bunch. I've had to send 1 back for warranty repair (overtightened rings, my fault) & turnaround was 6 days & the scope was replaced. Clarity is superb, reticle is precise & clear & while I wouldn't want to throw Amy of them from a moving train, my hunting rifles absolutely don't get babied. They're all scratched, dinged & scuffed & not a one of them has shifted zero.

How did I miss this? . . . .

Does anyone know of any Smith in middle TN that offers choke threading for shotgun barrels? I just picked up a Mossberg Maverick 88 for up close hog hunting & the patterns it throws with any buckshot load are pretty abysmal. I've tried 4 different loads & none make me smile beyond 20yds. It's a cylinder bore & I'd really like to get it cooked down to Mod if possible. If there's no one local, has anyone had any experience with Comp-N-Choke's services down in Georgia?
