  1. Tullahoma Great, used condition Dyer Rendezvous mocs. Super heavy, waxed leather with double sole. Well worn, but literally a lifetime's worth of use left. Perfect for early season stalking. They feel kinda stiff when you first put them on, but they soften up really quickly. They're tough enough to deal with any surface you can throw at them. Rocks, cactus, you name it, you won't feel it No defects other than a few scratches & stains from use. The white you can see in the photos is wax residue. They've been religiously sealed at least twice a year . Men's size 9 (actually verging on a 9½) $220 tyd ($200 ftf)
  2. Only worn a handful of times. There's a couple of moth corpses splattered on the front but it's just character, y'know? 'Distressed' look black with cream & red accents. Not shown in the pics, but it comes with insulated liner & pads (definitely shoulder & elbow, maybe spine, I don't honestly remember) No rips, tears or scuffs & all the zippers do zippy stuff, like they should. $75
  3. Men's XXL (fits a 48-50" chest with room for layers) If you've never heard of them, Swazi are a New Zealand outdoors clothing company that make some of THE finest fleece on the planet. The Hood is a really versatile pullover hoody. Super warm as a mid layer & great as a stand alone sweater. Long tail, so your plumbers crack is never exposed & a 1/2 zip turtleneck inside the hood keeps the wind out. It's such a handy bit of gear that I've already ordered another in a smaller size (I've lost about 75lb & this one fits me like a circus tent now) This is absolutely my favorite item of hunting clothing & I honestly wouldn't be without it. I've had it 3 years, worn it a bunch & you literally can't tell it apart from brand new. They're a genuine 'lifetime' purchase. $65 & I'll throw in shipping if needed.
  4. Small HF trailer. Never used on the road. Fenders, lights & chains are all brand new, never installed. All hardware is included. 1-⅞" hitch I've used this for 2 seasons as a deer/gear hauler on the back of my bike. There are a couple of tiny scuffs, but it's essentially brand new. Save $100 + tax over HF & you don't have to bolt it all together! $300 Sled NOT included.
  5. Dammit, YOU got me thinking. I'm going to have the oil bag coated & just paint the tank & fender. That should save me 5 or 600 bucks.
  6. I would, but there's some filling & shaping to be done & you can't coat filler.
  7. That's the fella. I'm not sure whether Jayden lost interest or what, but Martin seems like he's doing great with it.
  8. Lifetime Docks & Lifts Llc, between Winchester & Tullahoma. He's only just really got started powdercoating as more than a sideline, but his quality is great & he's reasonable & quick! $200 & under a week turnaround time.
  9. Haha! I actually said "you know it's a bike, not an effing Chapel ceiling, right?!"
  10. Welp....I went to the painter today. We had a long, meaningful conversation & he gave me a cost estimate. We then had a much shorter, more pointed conversation about how far up his a$$ his head was & if my boot would possibly help the situation. THREE-AND-A-HALF FREAKING GRAND!!!! Seriously. To paint a 2½ gallon tank, oil tank & rear fender! I've literally had entire cars painted for less! Needless to say, I'm currently shopping around for painters who don't have a secret, 5 gram a day coke habit to support I'm waiting on 2 estimates from a body shop in Tullahoma & another custom paint hobbyist in Murfreesboro.
  11. I picked up my frame from the powdercoater yesterday! I'm running the tank, fender & oil tank off to the painter this afternoon. I shipped off my chromey bits a couple of weeks ago & they should be back late January or early February. Hopefully the painter can have my bits back around the same time. This is my draft of the paint scheme....
  12. I use the Ork counting system: "One" "Two" "Many" "LOTS" I also have more than two
  13. Man, those folks must be paying a fortune to someone for thinking up their prices. DAMN! Are the zippers made from Mithril??? Basic-ass pack for $335??? I bet they're FLYING off the shelves.......
  14. I'll find out in 3-5 working days, I guess.
  15. Ahhh hell...... https://www.kuiu.com/products/venture-1800-evergreen
  16. That's what I'd do. Put the 2 new on the rear axle, the old ones on the front.
  17. But, to be fair, you're intelligent, talented & know exactly what you're doing. You've met me, right?
  18. I have a MR Pop-Up 28 as my go to hunting pack. After fannying around trying to find THE backpack for years, this is as close to perfection as I've found. Sensible outside pockets & a generous lid pocket, without being bulky. Fantastic suspension & the expandable frame with adjustable height load lifters & load shelf makes sizing it up to carry heavy loads a breeze. I won't lie & say it's 'comfortable' comfortable, but it'll carry 80lb as comfortably as 80lb can be carried In its regular configuration, it's TSA size approved & a great daypack size. My one wish, would be to have the triple zipper, with a vertical zipper running, at least, to the top of the slightly smaller (drop it's height by 2") pocket. Oh, & lose a little structure in the sides of the belt. It's impossible to lay it down flat. THEN it'd be perfect.
  19. I DETEST this part of a build. Wanna play "How much can I second guess myself?" Did I drill EVERY hole for the wiring, cables & hoses? Are all the welds completed, sanded & blended? Did I forget to round over any edges? Am I even any good at welding? It's going to fall to pieces, isn't it? Jeez.... did I check the wheel alignment? Why am I even doing this? I hate bikes. I'm middle aged! Why did I want another hardtail? And then there's the ever present existential dead & sticker shock over whether I've settled on the perfect color scheme, the cost of paint & chrome plating! Seriously! $525-575 for this little pile, plus tax & return shipping! God only knows how much the paint & gold leaf (SUCK IT GREG! ) is going to set me back!

  21. They die just like deer do. Hit em in the right spot with the right bullet & they go down quickly. The whole "tough to kill" thing comes from years of people making bad shots, with magnum cartridges they can't shoot well & extremely tough bullets (the ones that make perfect mushrooms in the adverts) I'll take a .223 or 6mm match bullet over a .308 cal heavily constructed, "deep penetrating" bullet every day of the week.
  22. Late to the topic, but for future reference I'm either carrying my 6.5x55 or .358win. If it was legal in Wyoming, I'd 100% take the .223 I kill everything else with. I've seriously considered building a 6mm ARC or 6x45 on a lightweight bolt action, just as a handy elk buster. Use the right bullets & don't sweat the diameter too much
  23. I'm an idiot. Ignore me. Mine isn't a Ranch model, it's a standard youth model. Different chambering.
  24. Huh. Mine was stamped .223 Rem.
