I'm only selling this to fund a new chopper build. I didn't realize just how much I'd missed working on bikes the last 15 years, until I started fooling with them again. Now I've got a basket case 1990 Sportster that's screaming to go into a little rigid frame! -
1981 Yamaha XS650 Special 10,000 miles only. Might go up a bit..... Excellent condition, any test ride welcome (with cash) Comes with the factory King & Queen seat, as well as the flat one I had custom made. Unfortunately I don't have the original buckhorn handlebars. Paintwork & chrome is excellent. Engine is perfect & unmolested, starts at the first kick or button push. Alternator rotor was rewound last September. Also includes luggage rack. The bike has been incredibly well looked after & maintained its entire life. Always stored undercover & babied! Clean TN title $3200

1974 vintage, no silly safety. Original rear sight missing, but shoots waaaay better with the peep anyway! I bought this year's ago, sold it, then bought it back on here & other than 1 range trip, it's never left the house. Everywhere I hunt, these days, is way beyond .30-30 range. Time for someone else to enjoy it! Comes with +/- 100 rounds of mixed factory & my reloads (150 & 170gr) a set of Lee dies & whatever bullets I can find. $700 for the lot.

Hahaha! Since, apparently, I do have to grow old, I intend to do it all sexified! -
Timney Impact AR trigger. 4lb, single stage drop in. Beautiful & crisp, but too heavy for my rifle. $100 shipped.

I have 3 pairs of pants that I've..... what's the opposite of outgrown? 2 pair of First Lite Corrugate Guide pants size XL (40-42" waist 34" inseam) in Obsidian camo. Both pairs are brand new & unworn. 1 still has the tags, the other were tried on at the end of last season, tags removed & then stashed in the wardrobe. 1 pair of Kuiu Pro pants in a 40" waist (they're generous & would do a 42) in Verde camo. Same thing. Bought last season, tried on, tags off then stored in the wardrobe. They've never been outside. I'm not posting photos, since they look exactly like the ones on their respective sites. First Lites $130 each, shipped or $240 for both. SOLD Pending fitting. Kuiu $150 shipped. Both items are currently out of stock online.

It seems like it's shooting pretty well with the abbreviated TMKs, anyway. 2" for 10 rounds was about the best I could get, running at an average of 2488fps. Being that it's going to be a 250yd rifle, that would do, but I'll be a lot happier if I can get closer to 1½" for 10 rounds. The trigger is very much not helping. A 4lb trigger in a 4¼lb rifle is no bueno. I've ordered myself a LaRue MBT-2S to try out. There's a definite learning curve to shooting something this ethereal, but this Timney is killing me! My next option is a Jard, either 1½ or 2½lb, but I can't find any kind of consistent reviews on them & I don't think I know anyone who uses one. The problems I've read about them double or triple firing are negated by this being a non-semiauto, but I was still loathe to part with $150 on a whim. I know the LaRue is good, just not sure if I can get used to a 2 stage.

Addendum: Since putting this together, I've shot it a bunch! However, I realized that I really don't need 3 .223s & Wyoming has a minimum of .24 caliber for elk. So I rebuilt the thing with a Solo300 upper & Wilson Combat .300 Ham'r barrel. I'm still waiting on my thread protector to arrive, but initial testing is showing a LOT of promise with both 130gr Speer Hot-Cor & Sierra 125gr TMKs, both shooting around 1.25" for 10 rounds. In leaning heavily towards the TMK for this year's cow hunt, my only concern being that I have to clip the tip to be able to fit them in the mag. They were designed for the .300BLK & I'm reliably informed that they work perfectly at Ham'r velocities (2510fps) Clipping the tip may cost me an inch or so of penetration, but should still do what it needs to above 1700fps, which is way beyond my comfortable hunting range. I'm really hoping to live test a couple on pigs before October. I did add a couple of inches of flip flop sole to my butt plate. I was finding the LOP to be short anyway, but the Ham'r recoil is.... brisk in a 4lb gun & the dampening is very welcome!

Have you ever stepped in real quicksand? I have. Here's the story.
Handsome Rob replied to Will Carry's topic in General Chat
I did the self same thing, bank fishing near Sisters Creek in Jacksonville. I went from ankle deep to waist deep very quickly. I had to flop over at the waist to try & spread some weight & grab like hell at grass, twigs & rushes on the bank to drag myself free. Genuine panic set in after a few minutes, screaming for my buddy in the other side of the bank. He never heard a thing. It felt like it took about an hour to get free (it was probably 5 minutes, max) & I couldn't breathe when I got loose. My Chacos & broken fishing rod are still there. The thought of Bull Sharks & gators is quite the motivator to get out.
