  1. Maybe odd, maybe not, but I've never seen it. Right now, I have a group of 7 bucks, with antlers, dinking around & sparring in my horse pasture. I've seen it in September, but never in March! They vary from little spikes & forkies right up to a pretty respectable 8. Haven't they normally dropped by now???
  2. I usually hunt Talladega national forest, outside of Tuscaloosa. They clear cut several, 2-6 acre patches a couple of years ago & the hogs go absolutely nuts when the new growth shoots start coming up. If that's what you're wanting to do, I'd be aiming to get there within the next 5 or 6 weeks. Once the fiddleheads start, the hogs go nuts on them. I've consistently found late afternoons to be the most productive time of day.
  3. To put it in perspective: I have a friend who owns property on the plateau. It's a couple of hours drive & he does have hogs. I've killed a few up there over the years. I can spend a week on his place & maybe kill a pig. Or, I can drive 12 hours to east Texas, 10 to central Florida, 6 to South Georgia or 4 to central Alabama, spend a day or two there & fill my truck bed.
  4. Alabama, Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas...... Tennessee does have hogs, but they're not as common as people think & hunting them is tough. We're close enough that it's far more convenient to hunt them where they actually are, than try to find them where they might be.
  5. Could you tell me more about the 2 1873s at the bottom of the 4th picture please?
  6. The axiom "Innocent people have nothing to fear from the police" is currently being looked at by the axiom review board.
  7. I'm just glad as hell I can restock my .300blk stores! Since w296 disappeared a couple of years ago, I've been hoarding my last few rounds like a freaking squirrel!
  8. Scope not included. Axis 2 (accutrigger) action in a Boyd's Spike Camp stock. The stock has had all the god awful square edges & corners rounded off & now feels much, much nicer in the hand. Barrel is from an older model 10 with a 1:9 twist. It's a gloss barrel that's been hit with flat black. Zero surface prep was done, so it flakes a soon as you look at it, but it can be back to high gloss blue in 5 minutes. It has, however, been cut down to 18". It's a really handy little rifle, I just decided it was time to upgrade a little. Price is firm & reflects that is not perfect. It will need to be picked up in Tullahoma. Usually I'm a little flexible when it comes to delivery & meet-ups but right now I'm dealing with covid & can't walk to the end of the driveway, let alone travel. Sorry. $350 EDIT: Screw it. Imma give it to a friend's kid instead.
  9. There are a few websites that you can use for this, but the emails being used, I would guess, are just throwaway. I'm sure they just delete then change them.
  10. Every single want ad I've placed in the past year, garners a PM like this: "Hi if your still looking, I can help out with a lead, you can reach out to Matthew in texas he has the Ruger American .223/5.56 sale this is his email address stevenmattdavis@gmail.com good luck " I'm about sick & tired of these losers. Sorry. Just having a vent.
  11. .357's spoken for. I had a quick countstimate of the 40 & I reckon there's somewhere between 7 & 900. I got to 400 & frankly, lost interest. It looked to be about halfway down the pile though. I'd love to trade for rifle primers (large or small) Varget,. 308, .257, 6.5x55 brass, or literally anything anyone has to offer, at all. Including livestock, favors & currency.
