  1. It's this one..... I don't actually know that it has a model number. https://www.burrisoptics.com/riflescopes/scout-riflescope-2-7x32mm
  2. Well, this one sucks. I've not had it long & wanted one for yeeeears, but I've got some major upcoming expenses that have to take priority. I can always buy another one later. It still sucks though. Pretty much mint condition, no marks anywhere I can find & a low round count. Not sure how many @AuEagle put through it, previous to my ownership, but I've put less than 100 shots down the pipe. It comes with 1, 10 round & 1, 20 round mag, plus the sling, Burris Scout 2-7x32 scope in Leupold rings. Also included is the USGI M14 manual of arms. It's a rock solid outfit & great fun to shoot! It has the least recoil of any rifle I've ever shot, bigger than .223! Never had a misfire or malfunction. $2000 all in or $1700 for the bare rifle, both mags & sling, no scope or rings (what I have in it)
  3. More than 350, less than 400. Again, can't be bothered to count. 30 of them are pulled (gently, with the correct collet) the rest are brand new. Everywhere is out of stock right now, but Midway had them priced at $38.99/100. I'll take $135 for the lot, shipping included. SOLD
  4. 4 boxes of 100 + another opened, halvish full box. Can't be bothered to count. $35/box, shipped or buy all 4 boxes for $140 & I'll toss in the rest (50+/- ish) Save a few bucks over Midway's prices & get some freebies for load testing or slingshotting at that cat in the neighborhood who keeps ####ting in your geraniums.
  5. Mauser 96 bolt conversion/safety delete & stock repair/refinish:
  6. I've installed front & rear iron sights (both screwed & soldered on) barrel band sling swivels, refinished & reprofiled stocks, improved triggers, refinished metalwork (stripped & polished & reblued, both cold & rust bluing & antique browning, plus french Grey) Like I say, I'm no gunsmith or expert on anything! I've just found joy & satisfaction in taking the ugly & non-functional & making them presentable & shootable.
  7. Good point! Rem 721 before & after: Husqvarna befores & afters: I don't have any befores of the Carcano, unfortunately, but it generally looked like this: And now it looks like this:
  8. Mmmkay.... but your gonna need to gimme some measurements here. I ADORE Mexican cornbread (especially with taco seaoning & a little bacon crumbled up in the batter) but the only recipes I've ever found for home made (or the packet stuff) contain flour & being a genetic failure, I can't eat gluten. I really need to find a cornmeal only recipe using cream corn & jalapenos.
  9. I haven't heard of this happening with Rugers, but it was a common & well documented issue with the older Tikka T3s. The T3x that replaced it came from the factory with an aluminum shroud that solved the problem & lots of folks with T3s replaced the plastic with aluminum & apparently fixed the issue. I would imagine that the Ruger should be the same, since bolt disassembly is basically identical. Get the metal.
  10. Bump please. And thanks for the support guys, it means more than you know!
  11. I'm literally open to any suggestions. I've had a bunch of fun, the last few months, bringing a few old rifles back to life. A couple of old 1930s Husqvarnas, a knackered old Remington a cut-down K98 & I'm presently working on the world's (previously) UGLIEST Carcano bubba-job. Turns out, that working on projects like this, along with working on getting my bike how I want it, are really helping my depression. I went from a lifetime of building things, to working a job for the last 14 years that whilst enjoyable, doesn't have the same sense of satisfaction as starting with nothing & finishing with a useful product. So I'm looking for old, disused, manky, rusty old rifles i can, if not restore, then at least refinish & remodel into working, things. Previously "sporterized" are preferable, that way I won't be accidentally devaluing a collectible piece. When I'm done with them, I'll offer them back to the original seller for whatever i pay, plus whatever actual parts I need to source (with receipts). My time will be free. If the original seller doesn't want it back, I'll either keep it or offer it up on the open market for an extra, say, $50? I'm 100% NOT trying to make any money, not trying to be or learn to be a gunsmith, I'm just looking for the sense of satisfacion of making at least a polycotton blend purse from a sow's ear I really don't want to spend tons, probably $300 max & old & rusty would be preferred over modern & just broken.
  12. I know, i have more chance of finding a Grail full of hens teeth & kept political promises....... But I figured it was worth a shot. Anyone got one taking up room somewhere? Even a siezed up, rotten, rustpile of a rifle? I'm not looking for a perfect milspec replacement here, just any old stick of wood that'll work. Sporterized by Bubba's Grandpa? That'll work. Underfold spike bayonet? I'm good with it.
  13. I'm in Tullahoma, but I'd be happy to meet up somewhere for a couple of thousand.
  14. Literally any quantity at all, just to function test a scabby old M91 i just acquired.
  15. I don't have one, but my best friend works for a gun store in Indiana (Red Dawn Armory) & they just posted a used one for sale today. Don't know if you'd be interested in messing about with shipping etc....
  16. I'll take it, consider it sold.
