  1. Mmmkay.... but your gonna need to gimme some measurements here. I ADORE Mexican cornbread (especially with taco seaoning & a little bacon crumbled up in the batter) but the only recipes I've ever found for home made (or the packet stuff) contain flour & being a genetic failure, I can't eat gluten. I really need to find a cornmeal only recipe using cream corn & jalapenos.
  2. I haven't heard of this happening with Rugers, but it was a common & well documented issue with the older Tikka T3s. The T3x that replaced it came from the factory with an aluminum shroud that solved the problem & lots of folks with T3s replaced the plastic with aluminum & apparently fixed the issue. I would imagine that the Ruger should be the same, since bolt disassembly is basically identical. Get the metal.
  3. Bump please. And thanks for the support guys, it means more than you know!
  4. I'm literally open to any suggestions. I've had a bunch of fun, the last few months, bringing a few old rifles back to life. A couple of old 1930s Husqvarnas, a knackered old Remington a cut-down K98 & I'm presently working on the world's (previously) UGLIEST Carcano bubba-job. Turns out, that working on projects like this, along with working on getting my bike how I want it, are really helping my depression. I went from a lifetime of building things, to working a job for the last 14 years that whilst enjoyable, doesn't have the same sense of satisfaction as starting with nothing & finishing with a useful product. So I'm looking for old, disused, manky, rusty old rifles i can, if not restore, then at least refinish & remodel into working, things. Previously "sporterized" are preferable, that way I won't be accidentally devaluing a collectible piece. When I'm done with them, I'll offer them back to the original seller for whatever i pay, plus whatever actual parts I need to source (with receipts). My time will be free. If the original seller doesn't want it back, I'll either keep it or offer it up on the open market for an extra, say, $50? I'm 100% NOT trying to make any money, not trying to be or learn to be a gunsmith, I'm just looking for the sense of satisfacion of making at least a polycotton blend purse from a sow's ear I really don't want to spend tons, probably $300 max & old & rusty would be preferred over modern & just broken.
  5. I know, i have more chance of finding a Grail full of hens teeth & kept political promises....... But I figured it was worth a shot. Anyone got one taking up room somewhere? Even a siezed up, rotten, rustpile of a rifle? I'm not looking for a perfect milspec replacement here, just any old stick of wood that'll work. Sporterized by Bubba's Grandpa? That'll work. Underfold spike bayonet? I'm good with it.
  6. I'm in Tullahoma, but I'd be happy to meet up somewhere for a couple of thousand.
  7. Literally any quantity at all, just to function test a scabby old M91 i just acquired.
  8. I don't have one, but my best friend works for a gun store in Indiana (Red Dawn Armory) & they just posted a used one for sale today. Don't know if you'd be interested in messing about with shipping etc....
  9. I'll take it, consider it sold.
  10. I'm looking for one of the flip lid gun boots to mount to my motorcycle. The pull off lid wouldn't work. I'm not even sure if any version will actually work without modification, but I can't think of any other options! If anyone has one spare, I'd really like to not pay retail for something I'll probably have to attack with a sawzall! Not looking for any handouts, I just don't want to buy new in case it doesn't work.
  11. Fitted with the larger M200 grips (i may still have the originals somewhere) Great shooting, work horse .38 Nothing fancy about it, but it does what it should every time. Minor cylinder ring but no other visible signs of wear. Comes with a leather 'Western' style holster. $300 located in Tullahoma.
  12. 3000 peak, 1800 constant.
  13. Price drop....$1000, meetup within an hour of Tullahoma.
  14. If anyone has one they don't use, I'd really like to get myself a 10x10 Flexbow tent. My days of ultralight camping are behind me & a little luxury near the truck would get a lot more use! Willing to pay cash-money.
  15. No sensible* offer refused. *I'm incredibly flexible.....
  16. Edited for price revision.
  17. I have a spare 4-Patriots 1800w solar generator. Bought it a couple of years ago & I've honestly never used it. Brand new retail is $2500. Mine is new with no box & for the life of me, i can't find the instructions. $1500 obo. https://4patriots.com/products/patriot-power-generator-1800
  18. 'How to be a drug/arms dealer' Chapter 1:
  19. From that picture? It could be literally anything, although my money would be on Iver Johnson. What are you offering in trade for it?
  20. I've got 2 a T3x Lite in .30-06 & a T3 Superlight Hunter in 6.5x55. I honestly believe they're the best rifle you can possibly buy, under a grand. The action is like oiled glass, the trigger is spectacular & you will not find a more accurate, out of the box rifle anywhere. With the advent of prefit barrels, they're a brilliant base action for a custom build, although aftermarket stock makers are lagging behind. I think a lot of folks are maybe a bit offput by them being a 'budget' gun, being that they're Sako's cheaper option, but they're every bit as good a a model 85.
