  1. Go for it. IIRC, he's up in Johnson city. It looks like there's a solid chance I'll end up with Doug's 20ga
  2. Cool. You should post a want ad about it......
  3. This'll be my first year trying for turkeys (I finally have hunting property with actual turkeys!) but my only shotgun options are a SxS 20ga with fixed mod/imp-cyl chokes or a home defense Maverick 88 with a cylinder bore! I'm not wanting to dump a bunch of cash & was thinking that one of the little Steven's .410s & some TSS shells is probably my best budget friendly option. Anyone got one they'd like to move on?
  4. I plan on keeping these. I'm hoping to save up enough to maybe pick up another project in the next couple of years, but these 2 will stay with me. There are still a few things I have in mind for the Softail, as funds allow.
  5. Bibs are for babies I actually wanted to go much, much bigger on tires, at both ends, but once you get past 5" width you're really only left with vintage truck or jeep tires. Which I'm not opposed to, but damn they 'spensive! These are what I really wanted, but they're $340 each before tax & shipping! The seat is waaaaay more comfortable than you'd imagine, springs on springs on springs
  6. Aaaaaaand the Bouncetail's done Spots removed, 8" headlight replaced with a 5½" front end lowered by 3", later model 'Wagon' wheels, chain drive conversion, 5 gallon tanks replaced with 3½s, Softail dash replaced with an older style 3 light Panhead dash (and then converted to 5 light with micro LEDs) Micro-LED turn signals wired in & new handlebars. Choke relocated & I ditched the old pull knob with an old ignition retard lever I've been keeping for 18 years, that came off my old 1941 BSA M21 Rear of frame removed & lower rear fender installed with hand forged sissy/support struts, fully rewired & all plugs & electrics relocated to the teardrop toolbox. Modified Tourglide exhaust with 6" baffle & single fishtail. Cam upgraded to an EV23 & Dyna 2000i single fire ignition installed. All work done by me, including the 'patina' paintjob (which I'm SUPER proud of!)
  7. I entered my very first show today & astonishingly, walked away with Best in Class trophy for Sportster chopper!
  8. Up for the Friday night compulsive drinkers/impulsive buyers!
  9. I know the first set of cameras you mean; the bastards sent me a 'caution' for doing 40 through the school zone (at 6pm on a Saturday) last year. EDIT I recognize where those license readers are. I think someone put them up because of the amount of drag racing that goes on on Blackburn. It's honestly ridiculous. Every single evening. I can't imaging the County would have put them up with no signage. I wonder how long the mounting screws are & if they'd work on my wifi for home security? I've got a ladder, hard hat & hi-viz vest that would allay suspicion.....
  10. How about $750 for the whole package?
  11. I did pull back a wee bit of shiny though......
  12. I thought I might try my hand at a 'forced patina' paint scheme this time. I'm pretty happy with it so far! With many apologies to @gregintenn again......
  13. Back at it. Again. The bouncetail's getting a bit of a facelift. New wheels, more imposing tires, lower the front end, smaller tanks, drop the rear fender etc.....
  14. The curvy bits are actually a breeze! Turning around in a parking lot on the other hand....... slow maneuvering really takes some muscle.
  15. WIZARDRY!!!! I tried literally everything.
