  1. Please read ALL the details! This is NOT a regular American, although it mostly looks like one. Barreled action is from the compact model, so only 20" Stock is from the regular model, with AICS mag well & MDT 10 round mag & adjustable cheek riser installed. I had the chamber re-cut from standard to .223 Wylde & throated specifically to shoot heavier, long projectiles & take maximum advantage of the 1:8 twist. The bolt has been refinished & polished to get rid of the infamous 'zip-zip' noise. I also installed a beautiful Timney trigger that is hands down THE single nicest trigger I've ever tried. Dead on 2lb break with zero slop or creep. I can happily & easily put 30 rounds into a 1.25" 100yd group & it will maintain that accuracy of to 800yds I've got much, much more invested in the rifle than I'm asking, but I also understand that to most folk it's "just a Ruger American" I don't know my exact round count, certainly over 500, but well under 1000. The rifle WILL come with the rings but without the scope. The scope will be available with the rifle, or possibly after it sells. It's an SWFA 6x42 milquad with mil turrets. VERY highly sought after & has been unobtanium for a couple of years now. It won't hurt my feelings at all to keep it. I have 3 others & a spare couldn't hurt. $500 for the rifle, $400 for the scope.
  2. I think I walked about 8 miles in them that day with no issues. A little cramped to start with, but by the end of the day, they were fine.
  3. I'm actually a 10 & I've managed in these. Once they've been on for an hour, they're tolerable on my feet, but I finally caved & bought some the right size. If you're between a 9 & 10, they'll do you fine, I reckon. I got these before I moved here & realized that US shoe sizing is 1 smaller than UK sizing.
  4. Thanks, but no. I have no use for anything with Vortex on it.
  5. Lightly used but unmarked. BDC reticle. $165 tyd.
  6. I know from experience how much better (and colder) you feel! I did the same thing with compounded semaglutide at my doctor's recommendation (no insurance) & dropped from 285 to 205, 44" waist to 34. I'm sure your doc already told you, but before you reduce your dosage, start making a food journal. Literally write down every single thing you eat. As you come down, refer back to your journal & treat it like a recipe book. It's really, really easy to add an extra ounce or two of food, here & there without even realizing. Stay strong Bill! The effort is absolutely worth it! It does get kinda spendy buying new clothes though, doesn't it?!
  7. I managed to shoot a buck I've been following on camera all year. He's not a monster, but I can't resist a quirky non-typical! First got him in camera in late June & as he sprouted, I could tell he was going to be cooler than average. By the time he was full & in velvet I knew that he would take up my concentration. I managed to luck into him on Thanksgiving around lunchtime & put a 77gr Tipped Matchking through him at 124yds. I stripped & cleaned him myself & finished him drying yesterday, for a simple euro mount.
  8. Thanks! A lotta work has gone into that little rascal in the last couple of years!
  9. Tullahoma Great, used condition Dyer Rendezvous mocs. Super heavy, waxed leather with double sole. Well worn, but literally a lifetime's worth of use left. Perfect for early season stalking. They feel kinda stiff when you first put them on, but they soften up really quickly. They're tough enough to deal with any surface you can throw at them. Rocks, cactus, you name it, you won't feel it No defects other than a few scratches & stains from use. The white you can see in the photos is wax residue. They've been religiously sealed at least twice a year . Men's size 9 (actually verging on a 9½) $220 tyd ($200 ftf)
  10. Only worn a handful of times. There's a couple of moth corpses splattered on the front but it's just character, y'know? 'Distressed' look black with cream & red accents. Not shown in the pics, but it comes with insulated liner & pads (definitely shoulder & elbow, maybe spine, I don't honestly remember) No rips, tears or scuffs & all the zippers do zippy stuff, like they should. $75
  11. Men's XXL (fits a 48-50" chest with room for layers) If you've never heard of them, Swazi are a New Zealand outdoors clothing company that make some of THE finest fleece on the planet. The Hood is a really versatile pullover hoody. Super warm as a mid layer & great as a stand alone sweater. Long tail, so your plumbers crack is never exposed & a 1/2 zip turtleneck inside the hood keeps the wind out. It's such a handy bit of gear that I've already ordered another in a smaller size (I've lost about 75lb & this one fits me like a circus tent now) This is absolutely my favorite item of hunting clothing & I honestly wouldn't be without it. I've had it 3 years, worn it a bunch & you literally can't tell it apart from brand new. They're a genuine 'lifetime' purchase. $65 & I'll throw in shipping if needed.
  12. Small HF trailer. Never used on the road. Fenders, lights & chains are all brand new, never installed. All hardware is included. 1-⅞" hitch I've used this for 2 seasons as a deer/gear hauler on the back of my bike. There are a couple of tiny scuffs, but it's essentially brand new. Save $100 + tax over HF & you don't have to bolt it all together! $300 Sled NOT included.
  13. Dammit, YOU got me thinking. I'm going to have the oil bag coated & just paint the tank & fender. That should save me 5 or 600 bucks.
  14. I would, but there's some filling & shaping to be done & you can't coat filler.
  15. That's the fella. I'm not sure whether Jayden lost interest or what, but Martin seems like he's doing great with it.
  16. Lifetime Docks & Lifts Llc, between Winchester & Tullahoma. He's only just really got started powdercoating as more than a sideline, but his quality is great & he's reasonable & quick! $200 & under a week turnaround time.
  17. Haha! I actually said "you know it's a bike, not an effing Chapel ceiling, right?!"
  18. Welp....I went to the painter today. We had a long, meaningful conversation & he gave me a cost estimate. We then had a much shorter, more pointed conversation about how far up his a$$ his head was & if my boot would possibly help the situation. THREE-AND-A-HALF FREAKING GRAND!!!! Seriously. To paint a 2½ gallon tank, oil tank & rear fender! I've literally had entire cars painted for less! Needless to say, I'm currently shopping around for painters who don't have a secret, 5 gram a day coke habit to support I'm waiting on 2 estimates from a body shop in Tullahoma & another custom paint hobbyist in Murfreesboro.
  19. I picked up my frame from the powdercoater yesterday! I'm running the tank, fender & oil tank off to the painter this afternoon. I shipped off my chromey bits a couple of weeks ago & they should be back late January or early February. Hopefully the painter can have my bits back around the same time. This is my draft of the paint scheme....
  20. I use the Ork counting system: "One" "Two" "Many" "LOTS" I also have more than two
  21. Man, those folks must be paying a fortune to someone for thinking up their prices. DAMN! Are the zippers made from Mithril??? Basic-ass pack for $335??? I bet they're FLYING off the shelves.......
  22. I'll find out in 3-5 working days, I guess.
