  1. I used to work at Government plant in Oak Ridge and the "blue line" starts quite a distance beyond the parking lot so, they enforce strictly "no firearms in vehicles". After I got to know some of the security people, I kindly let them know that if I ever got acosted to or from work that I was going to drag them "kicking and screaming" into court because they contributed to my ill fate. They kindly acknowledged. That was a number of years ago.
  2. Well Ohshoot, I hate to tell ya but, the panty wetters got their way and the ban remains. City ban on guns in parks stands Knoxville News Sentinel Both claim that they received threatening emails from some dangerous right wingers so, somehow, that helped to justify it. Chalk up another win for the criminals.
  3. I kieep telling people that the .410 out of a Judge is a big loser. A big loser. The penetration is really poor. Check it out: The Box O' Truth #41 - The Taurus Judge Vs. The Box O' Truth - Page 1 If you have this gun, by all means shoot 45 colt in it unless you are shooting varmint perhaps. You will also find that .410 shells are very, very expensive.

    642 or LCR?

Another vote for the 642. If I could only have ONE carry gun, it would be the 642. The Ruger is FUNKY. Sorry, but it is FUNKY.
  5. Here is an idea... Don't these guys have a drive-thru? If so then, after you pay for the drink or meal, tell them "by the way, I am legally carrying and will never come back here". OR something to that effect.
  6. I'm beginning to think the same thing myself.
  7. Thank you sent to McNally and Matlock of East Tennessee. There ARE some politicians among us who still love freedom.
  8. Let freedom ring! I sent this to both Senator McNally and Rep. Matlock, who represent the free state of greater East Tennessee! Thank you sir for your sticking to your guns [no pun intended] on this issue by voting to override the veto by our Gov. who has been the friend of the Second Amendment until now. We are going to take our country back. XXXTnEngineerXXX
  9. It is documented that Mike Chase, the owner of many restaurants in Knoxville has been against this big time. So much so that he has been in concert with a couple of state representatives behind the scenes on killing the bill. I have lived in the Knoxville area for decades and will put him on notice when he posts his stores. I would enjoy staging a peacefull protest in front of his stores. Stay tuned.
  10. These sudden, pressing issues have caused me to enroll also. Glad to be here and glad to be fighting the good fight. Here are the responses from my state reps.: Matlock--- RX, Thanks for your note.I will be voting to overide' Jimmy And senator McNally--- R.X.: Thank you for your recent communication regarding HB962. I appreciate you taking the time to contact me on this matter. I originally voted for this bill and feel that, under the second amendment it is a right of the people. I am opposed to the Governor’s veto. You have my assurance that your concerns and suggestions, as well as those of my other constituents, will be reflected in my decision making process as the Senate continues its work. Randy ----------- I feel good about this one. It is going to be embarrasing to Phil but one thing is for sure....the veto override will not be on TV with speakers and a backline of police chiefs and district attorneys! Glad to be here.
