  1. I love buds, but rarely buy from them online... 9/10 times I find it cheaper elsewhere.  Sometimes I don't, but most of the time I do.  grabagun.com is good and so is kygunco.com.  If those two are not cheaper they at least have it in stock and it is still a bargain to order and pay a transfer fee.  I sometimes buy from budspolicesupply.com though so that will probably not happen anymore.  There is another online retailer from Ky I used to buy from but can't remember the name of it.
  2. What sanctioned matches are you shooting this year?
  3. Over clocked a new muzzle brake for the AR and am in need of a crush washer. Had a shoot planned for Saturday so would rather not order one. Anybody know of anywhere in the Knoxville or surrounding area that would have one? Checked- predator, frontier, tac, knoxville tactical, and gunnys.
  4. Well we know the mom was an Australian shepherd. Just don't know what it's bred with. I wouldn't say he's temperamental, but he gets upset when he is woken up or when he's pulled away from eating something he's not supposed to.
  5. Picked up an Australian Shepherd mix from a shelter last month, its probably mixed with a mutt of some kind but I'm just taking a shot in the dark here. Here is a video of him now at 13 weeks roughly https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQBldmmZT9U Can't seem to embed the video, oh well, there's the link. And this is a picture of him from the rescue shelter with his brothers and sisters, one of them could have almost passed for a black lab,. 6. Not sure how common this count is because I don't shoot 3gun, but this is listed on the stages page at orsaap.com   http://www.orsa3gun.com/stages.htm   A good plan for a 3 Gun Match at ORSA is to bring 100 Rounds for your rifle, 100 rounds for your pistol, 50 rounds of birdshot (# 7 or smaller), 10 slugs and 5 buckshot for your shotgun as a minimum.
  7. added to listing, can you confirm location and range details?  Does the actual range have a website with contact info that you know of, didn't see any of that info or directions to the place.
  8. Interesting read, well, knew most of it, but never thought about bullet weight vs. poa though.  Thanks a lot Prag! :drama: kidding.  Probably doesn't matter at all for the down zero section at action pistol ranges, wonder when you would really start to notice?  I've always used 147's for IDPA/USPSA and never gave it much thought.  Just curious...
  9. I see wwb and umc in stores all the time for less than that.  Gander Mtn's box of 250 was ~100 last time I was there (I think).  Little mom and pop box of 50 wwb jhp's was close to 30.
  10. Just an FYI, I know Georgia Arms shows their out of stock on everything, but you can call and place an order.  I placed an order for 500rds of canned heat about 3 weeks ago and it shipped today.  I'm pretty sure its a 500rd limit.  Just call and say you wanna order some ammo and they'll tell you how many weeks out they are.  They told me 4-6 weeks out, didn't mind cause i'm not hurtin too bad.
  11. No problem, second time I've pulled that today actually.
  12. Just says handgun(s), good to go   T.C.A. 39-17-1351(n)(1) Except as provided in subdivision (n)(2), a permit issued pursuant to this section shall be good for four (4) years and shall entitle the permit holder to carry any handgun or handguns that the permit holder legally owns or possesses. The permit holder shall have the permit in the holder’s immediate possession at all times when carrying a handgun and shall display the permit on demand of a law enforcement officer.
  13. maybe part of the site is down...?  Doesn't make sense why there are no accessory categories at all (optics, and others).
  14. Well crap, just went through my e-mail where I had to links to 'manage my ad' for ammo and mags and they are nowhere to be found.....wth
  15. when is this senate vote taking place?
  16.   Well, we may know some of the same folks, but I graduated in 99.
  17. If the date gets hammered out I'd like to show up, heck i'll take off work to shoot some stuff  :hyper: .  Spots, you didn't happen to attend Anderson Co. did you?
  18.   Can you confirm any of the info for matches?  Times etc... cannot locate that info on their website.
  19. Edited original to include but will have to re-edit the info, couldn't get the website to come up.  Thanks!

    Glocks

I don't really know if they are worth it or not. I can't remember when I took the class but I think it's good for four years. The perks at the time included: ability to order spare/replacement parts directly from glock. Your armorers manual (which is now pretty easy to by), and they allowed you to purchase 1 or 2 blue labels a year. Not sure if they still do that or not, but I've always been able to so I never took advantage of it.

    Glocks

Been a glock fan for a while, started with a 23, then a 19, then another 19, a 34, a 35 and now a gen4 17. The first five have all gone on to find new homes, for some reason I talked myself into trying M&Ps and regret it. Question, how do you keep your armorers certification? Mine expires this year... Here is some of the old stable before the M&Ps took over: I still have my M&P compact and actually like shooting it, I like that its in between a 19 and a 26. Here is the new guy:
  22. Bump for the info, I imagine we have a ton of new shooters that may have the interest soon, that is if the ammo scare ever goes away.
  23.   none of their ammo is out of reach....   That is crazy though I was in there this afternoon with my little ones, would've freaked me out for sure.
  24.   That is probably true, but i'm almost certain it is because some people can't stand the thought of you having to pull the trigger to disassemble the gun.  It doesn't harm anything, unless it is loaded of course.
  25.   All I have are m&ps now and I love them, but I find myself wanting another glock.  Parts availability, magazine availability and price, and detail stripping ease.  But FYI you don't need a tool to field strip an m&p, just lock it back, rotate the takedown lever, release the slide and pull the trigger, just like alot of other handguns.  The take down pin is used because some people have an aversion to pulling the trigger on their gun to take it down.
