Depends on what your wanting... if your looking for a g23 in gen 3 don't fret cause the gen 4's haven't even come out yet. Gen4's are currently available in 17, 22 only. With that said, I wouldn't not buy a gen4, and I also wouldn't pay more for it. If someone tells you they cost more don't buy, according to my price list and the gssf price list glock charges the same thing. I've seen different prices on them in some shops and even heard of them having a different price point, if thats the case from a dealers perspective you could always join Glock Sport Shooting Foundation and save big that way. If its one thing glock sucks at its putting out available info, i.e., their website doesn't even show any gen4's and they never did show any rtf's so theres no telling when they'll be phased out. Theres alot of glock people here on tgo and some good vendors so i'm sure that info will be passed along here when its available. This has been a hot topic on glocktalk since January I don't suspect the rumors to stop flowing untill they announce their phasing out gen3's. It would be more cost efficient from a manufacturing standpoint but they'd lose some business not giving people options as well. I wouldn't mind having a gen4 frame on my 34 because I really like the grip sans backstraps, but I don't want the new slide fitted for the dual recoil spring due to aftermarket parts availability (they already have reduced weight and single recoil springs available so this may be a dead issue with me). So basically, join GSSF and don't worry about it, but imo the gen3's will be available for some time to come.

yeah, but how do you make the link read whatever you want instead of 'Let me google that for you'

I've used that but still haven't found out how to create your own link

Making a joke about anyone offing themselves is in poor taste, being a firearms enthusiast and making a joke about someone shooting themselves is definately in poor taste...that being said, I found myself giving a light chuckle just like the rest of the group when it played what he had said to Bill, you know one of those ha, oh, that was cold chuckles. Either way, Bill must have had an exceptional relationship with his ex-wife and her fiance to get that roughed up about it especially after the apology imo. It was a little over dramatic for me. And without getting to caught up in that stuff, I want JJ to win but Blake and Adam have an awesome shot at it as well. JJ and Blake are awesome with 'certain' weapons and have the ability to pick up on things quickly and Adam just appears to be 'good' with just about anything basing off his bio video on their website.

I won't encourage you to give any business to Farnsworth after your last experience, but yes, that guy is a butthead. He always talks to people like that, and always acts that way. There are three people there all the time (usually) Robert, Robert Jr., and that skinny butthole. He humors me and I never talk to him unless I have to, the Roberts are incredibly nice and the owners btw, don't know what the old skinny guys relation is to them. They handle all my transfers for me due to the fact that its 10min from my house. The guys at Bills Outpost are incredibly nice and i'll go out of my way to do business with them. I don't know what supporting vendors are on here from this side of the state except for Austins and PDO, the guys at Austins were nice and i've never been to PDO.

or a hand grenade if it had managed to close

Thats unfortunate, I've never had an ad myself (knock on wood) but have no doubts it can happen to anybody. I happen to know one guy that unholstered his gun to get into his car (he said he couldn't drive comfortably or get in and out comfortably with it in the holser) in the garage and let a round off through the windsheild and into the ceiling.

Good call, are the Hogues just too soft and flexible up front?

Always thought those two were basically the same rifle with a big price difference...i'm most likely wrong, there could always be variations in bedding and quality of barrels that i'm not aware of. What do you think MacGyver? The sps tactical has a threaded barrel option now. If I did have deep pockets I may go with the xcr tactical, just because I think it looks cool. I'm by no means an expert or armchair expert for that matter. Heres the xcr tactical, they used to have a short barreled option as well. Most of the time I carry the g19, sometimes the p238 thrown in the pocket, and very rarely both of them (but not in the summer). The g34 is my competition only gun. I also experiment quite a bit with the g34 searching for 'my' perfect setup. At the moment it is setup exactly like Dave Sevigny's g34 for USPSA production except for the lwd 3.5# connector. Glock 34- USPSA Production, IDPA SSP and Steel Challenge Limited -Sevigny Competition plain black sights by Warren Tactical Series. Note: For indoor specific events, Sevigny Carry Tritium sights. -Standard factory Glock slide stop lever (replaces extended version) [ I use the extended one ] -Wolff Gunsprings- Conventional 14 lb. recoil spring, reduced firing pin spring, trigger spring (optional change), firing pin safety spring (optional change), steel guide rod (USPSA only) or stock Glock rod with the cap removed (IDPA/SSP division) -Polishing to trigger parts (if necessary) -Trigger pull weight 4-4.5 lbs The fnp is meant to be a bedside/hd gun
