  1. I was able to get there on Friday. Definitely a nice day!
  2. Welcome to the forum. I live in Bellevue and frequent both those ranges. About 40 min. to Cheatham WMA and 10 min. to Royal Range for me.
  3. Welcome from Nashville.
  4. I’ve been using a Carhartt 16” heavy duty tool bag that my company gave out as Christmas gifts this past year. Works great for my needs. I have a separate Bulldog rifle case for carrying the M14, and a small pistol rug for the Beretta that fits in the tool bag. Still lots of room and pockets inside and out for eyes, ears, mags, etc.
  5. Welcome to the forum and to TN.
  6. Welcome from another Nashvillian. Been here 28 years now. I live on the far west side of Davidson Co., so Royal Range is my LGS. Nice range, friendly staff, and decent selection of guns and gear. I don’t have much experience with other stores in the area so can’t comment on pricing. Depending on which side of town you live, Dickson Sportsman Store is another good option. I just bought a new Beretta 92FS from them.
  7. Welcome from Nashville.
  8. Welcome from another resident of western Davidson Co.
  9. Welcome. Check this site out for state run outdoor ranges:https://www.tn.gov/twra/hunting/firing-ranges.html Someone recommended this place in another thread: https://okcshootingrange.com/ Might not be too far from you. I don’t have direct experience with it myself, but it looks nice and I’ll probably get out there at some point.
  10. Welcome. I’m on the west side of Davidson Co., so not too far from you.
  11. Welcome. Thank you for your family’s service! All due respect, sir.
  12. Nice. I’ll definitely check it out. Hopefully, your comments here won’t start a stampede .
  13. Thanks. I had not come across that place in my searches. It looks nice! About 1.5 hour drive for me but could be worth it. How are the crowds?
  14. Thanks for the comments everyone. I’ll likely try out Stones River at some point, but based on this feedback, it won’t be a priority.
  15. That’s a nice looking rifle. Beautiful grain on the stock. I would definitely consider it if I hadn’t just bought a Scout version of it a couple of months ago. A little too soon to try to justify getting another one at this point .
