  1. Yes, that’s why I do it. Soaking and cooking a couple of cups of beans at a time is slow. Canning 10 lbs takes half a day but it it means I can have them ready for 2 years and have them ready to eat them fast. If there is a disaster water might be in short supply so having some canned reduces water use and makes them ready to eat with only heating. of course the best use of canning is to preserve food you grew yourself but this is just what I do. Quick easy meals without the need for refrigeration, but not the expensive canned food from stores. I have canned stew, venison, homemade spam…. They were ok too…beans are just easy and they can be used in a variety of recipes
  2. I bought a 41qt pressure canner so that I could make sterile medium for growing mushrooms…gave that up because my old house promotes mold and therefore the mushroom production was not good or worth the effort. Now I use it to can deer meat, stew, and mostly beans. I don’t garden enough so I just buy 25lbs of navy beans for $15 and can those. At least once a year I can them. The canner can hold 20 qts so that’s lasts me most of the year. I use just soaked beans, water, and better than bullion ham flavor. The flavoring is not required but I just feel better knowing it is marinating in some basic flavor while it’s waiting on me to eat it.
  3. I have one like that. The one I have might be a 1909 model with a longer barrel. But the grips look the same.
  4. I have a mossburg 715t and I think 2 mags. Never really used it so it low rounds. Cordova area. Not sure where the mags are right this second
  5. I let my brother borrow my 30/30 lever action. His kids are enjoying that gun. They have already taken 2 deer with it. They seem to be expensive these days but its still a good option along with bolt guns. I am not looking to sell it, I am just handing out ideas
  6. The only reason the court is hearing the case is because he is getting money from Youtube videos. They could settle it by making his videos demonetised. This would preserver his First and second amendment rights. It would also circumvent the new county law that further restricted the state law that said this was not a public or commercial shooting range. So no case after that.
  7. the model 67 .22 is sold but the others are still available.
  8. I used it as a kid to hunt squirrels and rabbits
  9. It might be hard to tell from the pics so feel free to ask questions. Stevens model 77 12ga pump 2 3/4 $300 Mossburg 135D 20 ga with mag. Full choke $150 the mag is a little hard to remove Winchester model 67 22cal single shot. This gun does not always fire when you pull the trigger. It comes with extra bolt and parts i tried to fix it with $40 Winchester model 77 22 cal semiauto with magazine. This gun is in great condition for its age and is very collectable. gunwatcher.com says it worth ~300 but listing for $250 Memphis area, but I could get them to Chattanooga area after Christmas. If your interested make offer. I am also looking for a Keltec p17 if you have one you want to trade... Gun transfer receipt required!
  10. My fingers...darn carpal tunnel :)
  11. Some of my friends have had the CA remove their information from the database. I have not been able to, yet. While it is legal to publish who has a permit it is not legal to publish drivers license data. Most of the data they are publishing is from you drivers license...birthdate city state, etc. When they first put up the database it was far worse because they posted your address too. In my opinion it is still over the top. Birth dates should never be on this site! Please flood the site with requests to remove you names or birthdate....maybe it will help. 12. Whew...that was harder than it should be.  The below article helped but it could be easier.  If you lock you post it will not let you edit the article so make sure your post is not locked.  Then click the Edit in the lower right hand corner of your original post.  Then I changed the Topic prefix to Sold and the Topic Title to include the word sold at the beginning....   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/50143-editing-the-classifieds-how-to/
