  1. I do have positive ID. I know him. He works at the co-op. I was saving this card for photos collected. I know now I have to get them on camera and work with Knoxville authorities because I have not come across a straight arrow yet. I saw the statistics before moving here. We have friends with multigenerational lineage here who gave us the scoop. They know him, and his daddy and all his friends. We can play this game too.
  2. Agreed. That is a cool story though. Most people settling here aren't up for taking #### either. The demographics are changing and the obituaries tell the tale of how seriously land stewardship conveniences have taken hold of generations. Its sad friends and families are selling their land to outsiders instead of helping the next generation advance. One family held this land after they evacuated the indians. Lotta blood on these soils. This isn't our first property or our last and all the houses and lots being sold off are filling with outsiders. Won't be long before turning coon hounds out on others' properties will be a bygone sport.
  3. Exactly why I came to this group. Hunting groups all say the same thing LEO says. I saw the warning signs before I moved here. We have friends born in this town and family scattered over E TN. Your opinion is logical, all things considered. Most people don't do too much thinking.
  4. This seems to be my only chance for a civil resolution. The whole town operates as these fire and leo do. I'm not giving up my peace for 6 months every other weekend, I'd open a hunting or campground if I wanted to party and charge the guy admission. I also have coon and coyote hunters that we employ occasionally. The job is taken.
  5. Thank you, I will be bringing this up with TWRA when we receive a call back. I'm now working with Knoxville TWRA now since we have after hours happy hour happening on the regular. I'm too old and have too many health issues to be missing sleep like this, I start my day at 4am. All pastures are fenced and currently have cattle rotated. We have great neighbors that ask to hunt and don't bring a pack of baying hounds with them. I have to follow up to see if they actually came out. No neighbors on our street have consented, nor do they approve of these activities. I've been gathering status quo on this to make sure I'm not the one with the wrong thinking. None have wanted to speak up out of fear of upsetting these guys.
  6. Thank you for the tips... I have thought of posting publicly in local groups as well as his FD page. This guy knows exactly how this goes, LEO said they have to be present for actual trespassing and he's lickety split by then. He also parks in others' access drives or in the ditch of a holler. Non of the neighbors have given permission for hunting either. The last time these hunters were out, two weeks ago, they parked on the road and hopped the fence back to the road when the call was dispatched to LEO and they packed up shortly before their arrival. Have I been given incorrect info and all I need is photographic evidence for a case? I was told they have to be caught in the act, on the property, not in the ditch or road. They had been told not to hunt on the property over 3 years ago, they started getting aggressive this year and shining lights in the trees near the house and seemingly has gotten worse since we have had to chain our dogs at night and we have not met their trespassing with aggression.
  7. What do you do here if the property has no trespassing signs (hunting by written permission only) and consent was not given. We have been threatened, "You need to move. We been doing this for 30 years." The LEO and TWRA are involved and darnit... somehow they leave just before LEO arrival. Got his plates and he's Fire Department. I see exactly why LEO involvement has been a bust. I have been combing many forums on this topic over the past year, Deer didn't return last year. Not a sighting on any cameras this year. This time they claimed they were retrieving their dogs and proceeded to hunt for half an hour and abruptly packed up as soon as LEO call went in from TWRA. Their dogs have my LGDs fit to be tied. I cannot sleep for weeks. I came out here to not see and hear high speed car chases and gunshots all night long. But here we are on 500 acres and still no peace. My husband is about done with restraining me as I don't function well without sleep. They visit sometimes weekly. I'm ready to start trapping coyote, I'd hate to have to deal with pulling coon hounds outta my traps, but I am exhausting my ability to deal with my husband's tactics. Peace at all costs, but I don't mind getting hogs either.
