The Chinese Red star steel dust cover with its own Weaver-type base is very rigid because it is hand fitted to receiver upon enstallation by owner. Good if u can find them.

I think these rifles feel more like a gun than the 700 does.I like the “cheap” stamped steel guard! The extractor is my weak link in this rifle. If it goes bad you have a problem.
