  1. Shooters, Today the Warren County Rifle Club (WCRC) held an NRA-Approved 2x20x1000 LR match at Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC) in Tullahoma, TN. The weather was a typical beautiful fall day in Middle Tennessee with clear skies and light breezes, and despite relatively light attendance, a good time was had by all. We had 10 F-Class shooters and 3 Prone/Sling shooters participate. F-Open: Gene Graham (1st), Randy Graham (2nd), Steve Wells (3rd) F-T/R: Laura Perry (1st), James Bell (2nd), Scott Dickson (3rd) A/I: Jim Sokolowski (1st), Tim Kreier (2nd) A/A: Brian Hunter Our next match, and last LR match of the year at AEDC, will be held on 12-Nov-2011 (Sat) and will also be a 2x20x1000 NRA-Approved match. I hope to see you out there. Jim Sokolowski p.s. If you would like to be on our e-mail distribution list for future matches, please send an e-mail to jimsoko3853 [at] gmail [dot] com
  2. Shooters, Thank you to those who joined us for the first WCRC Long-Range match under new management. We appreciate your patience as we transition into our new roles. Laura Perry: 382-12x 2. Bruce Campbell: 373-5x 3. Tom Jones: 367-4x (with a .223) F-Open: 1. Jim Sokolowski: 395-11x 2. Danny Biggs: 386-9x 3. Randy Graham: 382-9x Please see my other post for the remaining WCRC Long-Range match dates for 2011. Thank you, Jim Sokolowski
  3. Shooters, Yesterday, WCRC held it's first 1,000-yard match at AEDC in Tullahoma, TN with our new management team. Many thanks to our predecessor Chris Hayes for all his hard work these past few years - we needed 4 guys to replace him. I will serve as Stat Officer. As far as the match goes, we had 18 shooters and generally favorable weather up until the rain hit for the last relay. I want to remind you about the remaining match dates for 2011. As of this moment, these are "club" matches but I will be taking care of the paperwork this week to make these "approved" matches so that we can send these scores into the NRA, they count towards classification, etc. Match fees will be dependent on whether we can get these "approved" in time but plan on either $15 or $20. These matches are open to F-Class, Prone, Palma, and Service Rifle, generally speaking. Spectators are OK but just be sure to get to the range in time before firing starts and the gates close. Sunday October 9, 2011: Registration at 8:00 am Central time, first rounds down range at 9:00 am Match 1: 1000-yard individual slow-fire prone, unlimited sighters and 20 shots for record (30 minute time limit). NRA LR-FC (NRA-LR for prone shooters) Match 2: 1000-yard individual slow-fire prone, unlimited sighters and 20 shots for record (30 minute time limit). NRA LR-FC (NRA-LR for prone shooters) Match 3: Aggregate of matches 1 & 2. Determines results for the day. A short meeting will be held to confirm scores, announce winners etc. approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of firing for the day. We encourage new shooters to attend and have many willing and able veterans who would be very happy to assist you getting started. If you have any other questions, need directions, etc. please let me know and I will try to get you an answer ASAP. Might be best to PM me so I see it. The WCRC Long-Range dates for 2012 are being negotiated right now and I will inform you of them as soon as they are determined. Thank you, Jim Sokolowski Franklin, TN
