  1. This is the one that I used J.I.T. SLIDE [J.I.T. Slide] - $26.75 : Don Hume Leathergoods, manufactures high quality leather and nylon goods.
  2. I am issued a Colt LE/Govt 6520 (the A2 version). It does not shoot any better or worse than my Smith & Wesson, Del-ton or my Frankenstein AR. On top of paying for the Colt brand anything marked Law Enforcement is always more expensive. Check out BravoCompanyUSA.com I have been really impressed with their rifles.
  3. I made these measurements using a stock Glock 17 (9mm barrel) and a Lone Wolf 40 to 9 conversion barrel for a Glock 22 (.40 s&w) chamber thickness measured from inside chamber to sidewall Stock .108" Lone Wolf .115" chamber thickness measured from inside chamber to top exterior of chamber Stock .194" Lone Wolf .201" Thickness at muzzle Stock .107" Lone Wolf .117
  4. I also have a 5.45 upper from S&W also. I also have had no issues. You may have inadvertently received a 5.56 bolt instead of a 5.45 bolt. If it is a 5.45 bolt it will have 5.45 x 39 stamped on it. A 5.45 cartridge should seat completely in the bolt. If your bolt does not have any markings it is likely a 5.56 bolt.
  5. I have always had the complete opposite experience. He has always been nice to me. He has done three or four transfers for me. When I look at the guns he has in the case the first thing he always says is "if your interested I can work with you on the price". Plus he has the best price on transfers in this area (that I know of) $25.00 including background check. Back to the topic: I am seriously considering using one of these lowers for a lightweight rifle build. I'm tired of carrying 10 -12 lb rifles.
  6. This is GREAT ammunition for a 380.
  7. These are the ones you are looking for. I have a few of them and they work great. Chip McCormick Custom: Power Mags - 1911 .45 ACP 7rd Officer's Mag Chip McCormick Custom: Power Mags - 1911 .45 ACP 7rd Officer's Mag with pad
  8. Awesome, I have never taken a person shooting that did not enjoy it. What range were you at?
  9. After being doubtful about this yesterday. I had a message from the Knoxville ATF office when I came home this afternoon. They called from a legitimate phone number and the message said they were checking for any damage or loss of firearm inventory or records. I still think this is kind of strange.
  10. I doubt that they would call from a cell number.
  11. Springs for MOSSBERG Rifles & Shotguns They are a great company to deal with and they make some of the best springs available.
  12. Yes, you should use only jacketed bullets due to the polygonal rifling in Glock barrels. Using lead bullets, even hardcast, can cause extreme leading of the barrel and can cause a kaboom. If you want to shoot lead you can buy a replacement barrel with standard, land and groove, rifling from Lone Wolf Dist. for about $100.
  13. I'm glad you got it working ( for the most part). Shoot some more 124 grain ammo and then go back and try the 115 grain ammo.
  14. I believe that your feed problem is being caused by the recoil spring. I think that the lighter ammo is not powerful enough to push the slide completely to rear. The slide is being pushed far enough the eject the spent cartridge but not far enough to reliably chamber the next cartridge.
  15. Here are my suggestions: 1) Shoot only ammunition with 124 grain or heavier bullets for the first 250 rounds. Most people who have experienced this problem with the Gen 4 9mm Glocks were shooting ammunition with 115 grain bullets. Shooting ammunition with heavier bullets has fixed the problem and allowed the redesigned recoil spring to break in. 2) Detail strip the slide, clean, lube and try #1 again. 3) Send the pistol back to Glock. They will make it right. Let me know if this works.
  16. Sounds like the seller is the one that got a great deal. He made $225 and got rid of the item that could have put him in federal prison for a minimum of 5 years.
  17. Something to think about is Charles Daly went out of business last year so it may be hard to find parts in the future.
  18. I agree. You need to check the engagement of the trigger bar and the striker lug using the orange half slide cover plate. A minimum of 2/3rds of the surface of the rear leg of the trigger bar should be in contact with the striker lug.
  19. Yes, they are good guns. They are reliable and built like a tank . New they cost between $300 and $350.
  20. Any holster made for the 30 will work for the 30SF. The only difference between the two is that the SF has a smaller diameter grip. Other than that they are exactly the same. They use the same magazines, same slide, same barrel, same internal parts.
  21. Before you do it yourself you might want to check out CCR-REFINISHING They are a small family owned business in Greeneville, TN. They are advertising a sale for the refinishing of Glock slides and HK USP slides right now on Glock Talk. WTS: CCR Glock Plating Special Price 2 week turnaround - Glock Talk They are offering Cera Plate for $79 or Cera Hide for $59 with a two week turn around. (post 24 is where they quote the price of Cera Hide and post 64 is where they expand the sale to USP slides) They have done work for me and they do an excellent job. I have done a couple of pistols and shotguns myself. The prices that I have paid CCR to do refinishing are definitely worth it.
  22. I think parrothead was referring to the model 28, which is the same size as the 26 and 27
  23. You are correct. If you look hard enough you could find one. Law enforcement can supposedly order them from Glock, but who would want a .380 that's the same size as a .40.
  24. To make it easier to reassemble : 1) Push the firing pin safety in and let the firing pin move forward. 2) Move the trigger to the forward position. 3) Reassemble
  25. Brackins Gun Alley in Johnson City does transfers for $25.00 including TICS. BrackinsGunAlley.com
