I have a full size M&P 45. It has about 500 rounds through it and I have not had any problems with function or feeding. I could not get used to the trigger. I had the Apex duty trigger put in and it is excellent. It looks nice, fits my hands well, standard sights are adequate, etc. Now for my gripes. The trigger that S&W puts in the M&P Shield models is much better than the compact and full size M&Ps. Why do they not use the same design? I think S&W could have designed the standard magazine to hold more than 10 rounds. They make 14 round magazines but they look ridiculous, like something a Batman villain would have. The bottom line is I would buy another one. Just add $100 onto the price so you can have an Apex trigger kit installed.

http://www.ccrrefinishing.com/pricing.html CP II is the nickel boron coating. They have done a Sig, an HK, and an AR BCG in nickel boron for me. They do great work.

Change out the hammer spring. The factory spring is 16lbs. I have a FEG PA-63, same design as the PMK-380 (both are Walther PP copies), with the 13lb spring. An 11lb spring might even work. http://www.gunsprings.com/Semi-Auto%20Pistols/FEG/PA-63/cID1/mID20/dID103

Need a Taper Pin for a FSB ASAP in JC

I have some. Send me a PM. -
Anderson Medic, what grain bullet are you shooting? The Gen 4 Glocks seem to like 124 grain or heavier for the first couple of hundred rounds. I would try that before replacing any parts.

Krull, is that an old JCPD gun? CCR did two USP pistols for me last year. I had the slides plated in nickel boron and the barrels coated in house black. They came out looking just like the old two tone USP. I have one more that I am going to have done in all house black. CCR works miracles.

I bet the guy who paid a ridiculous price for my OD 32 on Gunbroker a couple of weeks ago is kicking himself now.

They are a great company to deal with. Usually if you order during business hours they ship your order the same day.

Lonewolf Glock Caliber conversion kit. Anyone try it?
Karnage replied to 391xtrema's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
Same here. I have one for my 23 and one for my 22. Both work perfectly. -
The recoil spring part number that you need is SP02457. If your trigger bar is black instead of silver your 19 has not ever been upgraded. Most 2nd gen GLOCKs were subject to a six part upgrade. See more about it here: http://www.thegunzone.com/glock/upgrade-faq.html#nb0 You might want to consider sending it to GLOCK to have the upgrades performed. They will also replace all of the parts in the pistol (except frame, slide and barrel of course) and if you send your magazines with it they will also replace those with the latest design.

They used to be sold as the EAA Witness because they are imported/rebranded by European American Armory. I had a 45 compact several years ago. It shot fine and I never had any issues with it.

I think these are a steal for only $129.97. I should buy a truckload of them. http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/product/MAG-068

I thought about doing that but I didn't want to risk it going their way and ending up paying $236.40 for 10 used Glock mags.

On Christmas day I was doing a little online window shopping. I was looking at the Southern Ohio Gun website and noticed that they had used Glock 22 magazines for $12.75. Knowing that you can never have too many range magazines I placed an order for ten. I immediately received an order confirmation email from SOG. On December 29 I received an email from SOG saying that my order had been updated. While looking at the email I noticed that they were charging me $23.64 per magazine instead of the $12.75 that I had purchased them at. As an armorer I can buy brand new magazines from Glock cheaper than $23.64. I called SOG this morning and explained to them that when I ordered the magazines they were $12.75. Their response was sorry our pricing is subject to change without notice. They then went on to say that they would not honor the $12.75 price. They said that even after an order has been received if there is a price change they will modify the order. I cancelled the order. I explained that I believe it is bad business to sell an item then, before shipping it, almost double the price. I told them that I would not be placing any more orders with their company and that I would tell everyone that I know of their business practices. I had purchased from SOG before and the only complaint that I had was the lack of updated shipping information. The last time I received an email that my order had been shipped the day after the rifle arrived at my house.

I made a reservation and dropped a Sig 228 off with them about four weeks ago. I have used them several times in the last few years. They are a very small shop, the husband and wife are the only employees. Everytime I have been there they have both been working in the shop. They always have an enormous amount of work. If you don't make a reservation you are going to be waiting awhile. The times that I have called them it has always been between 8:30 am and 10:30 am and Mary has always answered the phone. In my experience it is hit and miss with emails. I have experienced wait times from 4 weeks up to 12 weeks just depending on the amount of work they have to do. I guess that is the downside of success. They do great work and everyone knows it.

Never mind. OP changed the topic.

Probably a bad round. It doesn't sound like a firing pin safety problem.

Usually people who get special deputy cards are either people who donated large sums of money to the Sheriff's campaign fund or prominent people in the community who are friendly with the Sheriff. TCA 39-17-1309 subsection E 4 says that "Officers of the state, or of any county, city or town, charged with the enforcement of the laws of the state, when in the discharge of their official duties are exempt from the statute concerning carrying weapons on school property." I don't think that they would be exempt because a Special Deputy does not have any official duties. Unless they were called in to action to quell a large fight, riot, or other emergency. Also they are not certified officers because they have not been certified by the Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission. This of course would have to be answered by a District Attorney.

You can still pick up items at the store that you have ordered online. But they don't have an area that you can go in and browse.

Widener's no longer has a retail store that is open to the public. They are all internet based now.

Need Gen 4 glock 26 plunger spring and bearing...
Karnage replied to sigbrown1297's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
It's the same parts for Gen 3 or Gen 4 if that helps.
