Ok I'll give this a try. Just like Christmas!

My wife got one of these today. She got the M4 Ops version. It's nice. It is not a conversion using the standard AR lower. The bolt catch lever does not function. It has an internal bolt catch. The forward assist plunger also does not function. Real simple to use. I'd bet a caveman could use it. Hope to go shoot it tomorrow. I'd post a picture if I could figure out how.

I received a response today from Senator Steve Southerland concerning the e-mail I sent to him yesterday. Here's what he had to say: Thank you, *****(I omitted my name), for the e-mail and the phone call yesterday. I agree with you and will firmly support veto override efforts. Procedurally, the House will be the first to act. If the override is successful in the House, the sponsor will make the appropriate motion once the bill is transmitted to the Clerk and properly before the Senate. Again, I appreciate your input. Steve Southerland Thumbs up for Senator Southerland. I also took the time to contact Representitive John Litz. I have received no response. Today I e-mailed the Governor. I don't expect a response but I feel better now that I have expressed my disappointment.

If a TGO member were to run for governor next time around, they'd get my vote. Seems like some very intelligent people here. I guess I must have missed the "no dumb rednecks" rule.

I have e-mailed and called (left messages) for both my representitive and senator. We all need to be involved! These people are supposed to be our voice. Complacency will get us nowhere. Montana is expecting this to go to the Supreme Court. It's not so much about guns as it is about state sovereignty and the 10th Ammendment. Texas and several other states also have similar bills in the works. I sure wish we had more influence in selecting a new Supreme Court Justice.

I saw on Glen Beck last week that the Montana law is expected to make it to the Supreme Court. Obama's choice of the new judge may play into this. Texas, Tennessee, and several other states are following Montana's lead.

Welcome! I'm also in Hamblen and have the same problem. No place to shoot. From some of the local news articles I've read, I believe we have an anti gun county commision.

Thanks for the advice Kegger. I've been looking to add a Kimber but haven't found anything local or at the online dealers I've checked. My local gun shop said it would take six months to get one. Any one.

Finding a new Kimber is about as easy as finding the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.

I saw a Bushnell laser boresighter for about $30. Says it fits .22 to .50. Seems like a good deal. Anyone have any experience with one? Worth the money or waste of time?
