  1. Welcome!
  2. I found it. It's 7.35 Carcano, I need 6.5x52 Carcano. But thanks for the heads up.
  3. If so, I missed it. Darn! I'll go through and see if I can find it. Thanks for letting me know. I do have a box ordered from my local gun shop but I'm still trying to scrounge a clip for it.
  4. Thanks BigJ45!!! I had a great time. I got to feed a couple of guns that had been neglected for too long. It didn't even matter if I hit anything. Next time around I expect to have some ammo for the Carcano. I have now connected some names with faces but I'll have to work on that some more next time. And yes, it was nice to have the opportunity to carpool, or should I say jeeppool, with Blackbeltchick. I even took her out for chicken fingers after the shoot. I know how to treat a lady! I'll have some pics up soon.
  5. If you see a guy wandering around with an Air Force hat on, flag me down. Blackbeltchick will be with me with an Army hat. Black Jeep.
  6. Welcome back!
  7. I wish it were in Hamblen County.
  8. I'm guessing you expect the Tennessee Firearms Freedom Act to get past the governor's desk. I hope you're right!
  9. I know there's something I want to say but I'm speechless...
  10. Welcome! I just bought a DW Commander Classic Bobtail too. You must have taken advantage of the attractive price Bud's had. They went fast. I was hoping to have mine for the weekend but It's not shown as shipped so....maybe I'll get to feed it next weekend. Hope you enjoy TGO and that new DW!
  11. Here's an story from WBIR. This incident occured at a restaurant where alcohol is served. Certainly there must be a connection. Cars should be banned at restaurants where alcohol is served! WBIR.com | Knoxville, TN | 2 people injured after car backs into Olive Garden 2 people injured after car backs into Olive Garden Katie Shands Updated: 6/11/2009 6:22:19 PM Posted: 6/11/2009 6:20:37 PM Two people were injured after a car backed into the front of the Olive Garden in Bearden Thursday evening. The restaurant is located at 7206 Kingston Pike. According to the manager, a customer's accelerator became stuck while reversing in the parking lot. The person backed into the building and broke all of the front windows around 6:05 p.m. The manager said one person suffered cuts and scrapes. Another individual has a hurt neck. Stay with wbir.com for more information on this developing story.
  12. Welcome! I hope you're surviving this storm OK in Knoxville. We're getting slammed here.
  13. Perhaps if KevinM had served his country he would see things in a different light.
  14. If I can find some ammo, I'll bring the gun. Heck, I might bring the gun anyway. My dad cut the stock down, sanded it, and put my initials in it so it doesn't look original. But that just adds to it's sentimental value to me. By the way, when I was young, calling someone a "dude" was not considered a positive thing. How times have changed.
  15. Thanks! I'll be glad to post some pics.
  16. Thanks for the advice and the link. I always break down, clean and oil a new gun but I will pay particular attention to the lube part with this one. Mobil 1? Never thought of that but I do have some in the garage.
  17. I have a Marlin 60 that I've had so long, I don't even remember when I bought it. The serial number tells me it was made in 86. It was the first gun all of my kids shot growing up. Never fails (unless shooting Remington bulks), very accurate. The gun that means the most to me is an Italian Carcano stamped 1929. My dad gave it to me on my 12th birthday. My first gun. A deer slayer. I still have it and cherish it. I need to get some 6.5x52 and shoot it. It's been probably 30 years since it's been fed.
  18. I'm usually willing to share. I'll bet you have something I'd like to shoot too.
  19. Last gun I ordered from Bud's shipped the next business day after I ordered (ordered on a Saturday, shipped Monday). I had it in my hands from my local FFL dealer the next day (Tuesday). Using my typically twisted logic, I ordered it last night, it ships today, I pick it up tommorow in time to start feeding it on Saturday. I know that's a best case scenario but sometimes good things do happen. By the way, when checking my order status at Bud's this morning, I see that the DW COCB is now listed as in stock again. Must be somebody's order fell through.
  20. Perhaps we'll be offering them jobs at Govenment Motors or a bank. We're giving the terrorist our rights and taking our rights from us.
  21. Bought it! Looks like I got the last one. It now shows out of stock. Sure hope I have it for Saturday's East TN June Shoot.
  22. I've done a little research. They're made at the Dan Wesson facillity in Norwich (upstate) NY. And you're right, they are now owned by CZ. Made with a number of Ed Brown parts. I'm twisting my own arm.
