  1. You can transport a gun on a commercial flight. You have to have the gun locked in a case and it must be checked. No carry on. Ammo must be packed separately in an approved container. The airlines have the rules and requirements posted on their websites. Be sure to check the laws of the state you're traveling to. Although I haven't checked, I suspect it would be a bad idea to take a handgun to CA or NY.
  2. I was only refering to the Remington .22 bulk packs. I've had no problems with any other Remington ammo.

    Carcano

I have a 6.5mm Carcano. I used it for deer hunting when I was a kid. I haven't fired it in over 30 years but I recently bought some ammo and have two stripper clips on their way to me in the mail. I hope to be able to run some ammo through it at the next East TN TGO shoot. You show up and I'll let you take a turn. BTW, I'm looking for another one if anyone has one they're not too attached to.
  4. I completely agree. The Remington is garbage and it doesn't matter what gun you're putting them in.
  5. And here's one of the "Reader Reactions": Posted by ( ****** ) on July 02, 2009 at 9:09 pm I think some people should have to wear signs that say “I’M STUPIDâ€! That way we wouldn’t ask them for anything or depend on them! “HEARS YOUR SIGNâ€! I thought they we’re crazy when they passed the law allowing guns in bars, but this i’m just at a loss for words! This person's inability to express their thoughts left me wondering for a moment what side of the fence they're on. One thing is clear. The spelling, punctuation, and grammer leave no doubt as to where the "I'm Stupid" sign should be worn. I wonder, can he hear my sign?
  6. I used to live in Texas. I think they award you a gun when you leave the hospital at birth. It's part of the delivery process.
  7. If you were really Dale Jr you probably wouldn't be able to finish a post.
  8. Concealed carry is legal in a restaurant that serves alcohol in Texas if more than 50% of their revenue comes from food sales. Even more restrictive than it will be here in a couple weeks if the justice system agrees with the letter of the law.
  9. Pretty simple design. I assume the piston and spring are compressed by a cocking lever of some sort. Would this design be considerd the best type of airgun? I remember, as a kid, I had an air rifle that I had to pump up. It was pretty powerful but it would wear me out pumping it up like 15 pumps to shoot it. I also had a "revolver" looking pistol that used a spring only to fire a BB. It could barely bust through a piece of paper at about 7 yards. I never had a CO2 type but that seemed like it could run into some money to keep buying cartridges. This spring and piston looks pretty good.
  10. Walmart in Morristown had three boxes of 9mm FMJ 100 round WWB for $20 each. I grabbed two. There was one left at about 2:30 this afternoon.
  11. So. what does "spring" or "springer" airgun mean? Is the BB or pellet propelled by a spring in addition to air?
  12. This was my immediate thought when I saw the door was open with a leg sticking out.
  13. Thank you for your sacrifice. I have sent many emails and made numerous phone calls and will continue to do so in support of our constitutional rights. I'm thankful that there are people like you with the legal knowledge and appropriate connections to lead us in this struggle. I'm willing to make an effort but it's great to have someone to point me and my efforts in a useful direction.
  14. I love getting sales, survey, and telemarketing calls. Great sport!
  15. I got two boxes of the Wolf steel case FMJ .380 at my local gunshop Tuesday. They had a list and it was all spoken for before it even came in the door. I was one of the lucky ones. $18 and change per box. I saw the same stuff at a gun show last weekend. As high as $40 a box. It's hard to find a deal at a gun show anymore. NIB KelTec 3AT was $350.
  16. I think you should dispose of it. PM me and I'll give you my address. I'll take care of it for you.
  17. You tell 'em. Incompetance is rampant most everywhere today.
  18. I wondered what happened to my hemorrhoids. I think some Preperation H will take care of that.
  19. Brought them back from South Carolina. I'm going to Louisiana in a couple of weeks. It'll be a regular seafood fest. Nothing like fresh off the boat.
  20. I'm a do it yourself kind of guy. Steamed are good too. I'll do fried oysters the same way. Now I'm thinking of some homemade poutine. Haven't done that in years. I'm quite at home in the kitchen. I still travel some for business and have to eat out when on the road but when at home, it's home cooking for sure.
  21. If you were closer, I'd be inviting myself to dinner. I love all three! I just had fried clams last weekend. Pretty hard to find in these parts. And poutine, I've never found it south of the border but it was always a must when traveling north. I used to travel to Canada quite often on business but haven't been in several years. Good people, good food, good beer, too darn cold, too much French. Happy Canada Day and Happy Independance Day. You gotta love any holiday that involves explosions!
  22. I'll assume + tax and tics. A dealer had several at a gunshow last weekend in Greenville, TN. Two as described, and a couple that had the stocks finished, scopes, and the bolts rearranged to allow the scopes. If I remember correctly he was asking something like $289 for the dressed up versions. Anyway he still had these as they were closing down on Sunday so I figure I could drop by his shop and get one if I decided to go with it. I kept going back to his table on Sunday but didn't want to impulse buy. Now I'm wondering if I should have grabbed one. I've kind of been looking for another Carcano but they seem to be a bit more rare than the Mosins. I like the old military stuff. It's like holding history in your hands.
  23. Yeah, I don't think there's been a bison or a bear in my backyard for a while.
  24. Would $125 be a good price for an M44 with bayonet? Rough looking stock but I suppose that's part of the allure.
