You often hear people bashing the RIA as cheap junk but you never hear anyone that has one say anything bad about them. You can buy one cheap as a starter and build it into your dream gun.

It's almost weekend

A few years ago a logger told me he used diesel fuel. A dab here and there. I gave it a try and it worked quite well. I don't know about how game may react to it but it sure works to keep the bugs off.

Are there bad 1911s? I have a pricey Commander Bobtail and a cheapy Rock Island. I think they're both great guns. I never met a 1911 I didn't like.

I've bought from Bud's several times. In each case, I've not seen a better advertised price on anything I bought, from anywhere else. Shipping was fast. No problems at all. I like Bud's. I suspect some kind of glitch caused the pricing issue.

Darn, it looks like the only guns I have that are worth having are my Mosin, my Carcanos and my Marlin 60.

I have a Model 15-2. Nice revolver. There are several different length barrels you can get for it. And different grips. Make it a hogleg or a snubbie. With only one barrel I've seen them in the $400-$500 range. With the "Pistol PacK" with 4 barrels and original case I've seen them from around $800-$1200.

My wife bought one from AIM. She loves it. It's in great condition. She's been shooting .32 S&W Longs in it and they work fine. The Nagant ammo can be found but it's a bit pricey. You can get an after market cylinder for it to shoot .32 Auto. Trigger pull is pretty heavy if firing DA but if you fire SA it's pretty smooth. It's a good deal on a historic revolver. Go for it.
