  1. I just checked the Dickies web site and a search for "belt" returned a "No Items Found".
  2. Count me in!
  3. Incredibly long thread
  4. I've been thinking about playing around with making a holster and maybe a belt. If you're working with leather, where do you get your materials and tools?
  5. Well, any idiot ought to know the wasteband of sweatpants won't hold a handgun for long. My sweatpants can hardly hold up my sweatpants. I thought I recalled something about him adjusting it in his pocket but it sure could have been the waistband. Either way, sweatpants out for a night on the town? That ought to impress the ladies.
  6. My wife believes I'll be painting a bedroom today.
  7. Write a letter to Plaxico Burris in whatever prison he's in. He'll be able to tell you all about a Glock going off in a pocket.

    gotta be said

Reading this thread made me realize that my benefactor status had expired! I corrected that right away. I just didn't notice that the little benefactor thingy had disappeared below the avatar. I don't even know when it actually expired. TGO David, is there any possibility of some type of automated notification through a PM or email to let us know when our benefactor status is about to expire? It could help maintain your revenue stream.
  9. Exactly what I was going to say so I'll just confirm that yep, it is a federal offense.
  10. Nothing to add but I'm sure glad I clicked this thread. Good stuff! It's got me thinking now about scenarios I hadn't considered.
  11. I love it! It does sound too good to be true but it's a great story regardless. I'm going to choose to believe it because I want it to be true. When will people learn to mind there own business? I stand firmly behind the concept of being able to believe in what you want but I sure hate it when you try to push it on me.
  12. What could be his objective? What is there to gain? Can you be prosecuted for failing a drug screen? I can't comprehend why the judge would do this. Perhaps he just likes to screw with people.
  13. I was just thinking about the Dean Martin show just the other day. Reminiscing more like it. Like with Tom Snyder and Rod Serling, you rarely saw them on screen without a cigarette burning.
  14. You can carry where alcohol is sold but not consumed, like a supermarket or convenience store. You cannot carry where alcohol is sold for on premises consumption. Walmart is a go.
  15. Some members of the video game generation don't understand that you can't just restart at the beginning when you screw up. Some screw ups are hard to fix and don't just go away. I hope he has learned something from this unfortunate situation.
  16. It takes little effort to receive an honorable discharge. All you have to do is follow the rules and do as you're told and act responsibly. Clearly, there is more to this story we're not being told. I see no problem with this requirement. Permits are for those that can act responsibly.
  17. Last time I checked, Peyton wasn't a hometown boy either. Louisiana, pretty sure. It was a meaningless game when other games had playoff implications. The person that chooses which game the staion is going to carry probably has a lifesize Peyton cardboard standup figure in his bedroom.
  18. Look to the bottom of the whole bunch of blank space.
  19. been a while
  20. I lived in upstate NY for about ten years. Between Syracuse and Utica. When I moved there from the Atlanta area, I had a difficult time making people understand that I wasn't moving to the city. Where I lived it was woods and farms. Beautiful country and very real, down to earth people. Much of NY is rural. Much more rural than where I live in Tennessee. I had woods around me on three sides and a pasture across the road. And I used to shoot in my back yard! Handguns there are rare but rifles are pretty common. Growing up hunting is part of the culture. If you stay out of the southeast corner of the state, NY is pretty nice. The NY state government, not so much. And then there's the snow. We averaged about 200 inches a year. Mostly lake effect snow. Buffalo gets all the publicity but Rochester and Syracuse areas usually get more snow. Get ya some long johns and cover them up with some Carhartts! Get a snowmobile and make the snow your friend. There's hundreds of miles of public trails. Taxes are rough. Sales tax is about the same as here but state income tax and property taxes are pretty high. Average wages, I would say, are higher than Tennessee so it helps offset the taxes. Home heating in the winter can be expensive. Avoid oil heating. Good luck with the move. I suspect some here that have been offering condolences have never even been to NY. It's really not bad. There's even things about it I miss. But not the snow.
  21. +1
  22. I've been in CCA several times. I've never been treated poorly and someone has always asked to help me soon after entering the store. I just stop in to browse so after declining assistance, I'm left alone. I bought something there once but I don't remember what it was. Not a gun. Prices seem about average. Not many accessories stocked. They did have some nice 1911s.

    Dan Wesson

    I like it!
  24. I encourage my wife to buy the guns she likes so there's no resistance to me buying what I want. Works pretty well and we get to shoot each other's guns as well.

    SNIPER?

Thanks for the tip. I missed the start of the 9PM run but the DVR is set for it at 1AM.
