I believe in a ghost of an alien bigfoot.

It's a tough question. I have had several unexplainable experiences. Certainly, some would explain these types of experiences as ghostly. Were ghosts responsible? I have no definitive evidence. Could ghosts be responsible? It's as good as any other explanation I can come up with. Supernatural? It's just a word we use for things we have no other way to explain. If one believes in a soul as being a continuation of consciousness or even residual energy after life, the concept of ghosts or spirits is not very different. They just show up in different places. Or do they? There's much about our universe that is yet to be understood. Heck, there's much about our planet that is still not understood. New species are discovered all the time. Most of our planet is underwater and we've only been able to explore a small percentage of it. Are things happening that we don't or can't understand? You bet. Am I ready to blame it on ghosts? Not yet. Can I rule out ghosts? Nope. Good question Mike. I voted yes because I believe in the possibility. I believe our beliefs create our reality. Or is it just our perception of reality? Question everything, accept nothing. This would make for a good campfire discussion.

Edit: I apparently caused some hard feelings by my post and have retracted those comments. My apologies to Straight Shooter. Yes, I've seen things several times, in the sky, that I could not identify. Therefore I fall in the catagory of one who believes in UFOs. I could not speculate on the origin or source of the objects.

I was hoping to look to the right of the thread title and see it was in "Firearms Classified". Nice gun. Love it. Protect it. Tell your dad it needs to be cleaned weekly so you need to hold it for him.

Beat me to it.

Healthcare is a service, not a right. I suppose next year the government is going to get into the cable tv business and start making me buy that for those that don't wish to provide for themselves.

I'm there but very little of the information was correct. Anything more than what you could get from the phone book was wrong. Whoever collects this information needs a new crystal ball. I don't do spacebook or myface.

I stopped by Bill's Outpost today for the first time. Nice place and nice folks. I had to explain TGO to them and suggested they check us out. Not a huge selection but some decent pricing compared to other shops in the area.

I'm waiting for them to print some up for me too.

This is dated January but is still active. I did a search on TGO and didn't find it posted. Interesting results. Add your grade for Obama's first year performance. It only takes a moment. Grade Obama's First Year in Office - Political Hotsheet - CBS News= Some interesting comments below the poll as well.

I believe you have the ambi safety. Any government size 1911 grip cut for an ambi safety should fit. Google 1911 grips. You'll find many choices with a wide price range. I, personally, stay away from smooth grips. Finger grooves add a nice feel.

And the 1911 addiction begins.

Chasinwhitetail, here you go. This looks like a deal. Better grab it quick. This won't last. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/firearms-classifieds/37436-wts-last-one.html

Tennessean opinion piece. Same old story. Bold print copied over and is not mine. Lawmakers play with fire by pushing weapons bill Lawmakers play with fire by pushing weapons bill | tennessean.com | The Tennessean Our View Once again in 2010, forces are working hard to mix alcohol with firearms in a restaurant or bar near you. Neither state courts nor the weight of public opinion has deterred them in their zeal to pack heat with utter disregard for the bystanders' safety. Last year, legislators toed the gun lobby's line in voting to allow people with carry permits to bring firearms into any establishment that serves alcohol, provided the individual "does not consume alcoholic beverages.'' Since permit holders are not required to display their guns, how the bar would know to refuse to serve drinks to that customer was never clear. The legislation — after some arm-twisting — was changed to allow bars and restaurants to opt out by posting signs. This put business owners in the disastrous position of scaring off patrons with ominous signs banning guns, or risking their employees' safety if they did not post signs, which meant they had to allow guns. Gov Phil Bredesen, with the strong backing of law-enforcement agencies statewide, vetoed the measure, but legislators quickly overrode his veto. The law was challenged in Davidson County Chancery Court, where it was found to be unconstitutional because it was vague on the type of establishment that would be included. That should have been the end of it — not because the bill's writers did a poor job, but because the law is opposed by a vast majority of restaurateurs, hospitality/tourism officials, sheriffs and police and, according to various polls, anywhere from 60 to 67 percent of Tennessee residents. Remember: This is Tennessee, a state that loves its hunting, that prizes individual rights to keep and bear arms more than most — and still most of its citizens understand that bringing guns and booze together is crazy. Rep. Curry Todd, R-Collierville, and Sen. Doug Jackson, D-Dickson, have retooled last year's law. HB 3125/SB 3012 now spells out that it's OK for permit holders to bring guns into establishments "licensed by the (state) Alcoholic Beverage Commission as a 'restaurant,' provided it is not posted.'' If anything, this bill opens up more establishments and people to risk. It goes before the Senate Finance Committee today after passage by the House Judiciary Committee. Here is why this bill should be defeated: A carry permit is no assurance of responsibility. At least four unarmed people were shot by carry-permit holders in Tennessee in the two years before last year's bill passage. These were not cases of self-defense or protecting others. Such cases will escalate, because people go to bars to drink, not to sip tea while they polish their semiautomatic pistol. • It's bad for the economy. Our state is suffering from 10.7 percent unemployment; yet, this bill would keep would-be restaurant and bar patrons at home, and it already is on the radar of national organizations that scout sites for annual trade conventions. It is not on their list of pluses for Tennessee. • It obstructs law enforcement. The gun lobby says carry-permit holders will be protectors in case a criminal decides to rob the restaurant or go on a killing spree. But this is an egotistical fantasy. Permit holders are taught how to fire a gun; they are not trained in law enforcement or crowd control. It is far more likely they will impede law enforcement officers, accidentally hit bystanders in a shootout, or be shot themselves. Members of the General Assembly: Even though it's an election year, please find the courage this time to say "No'' to the gun lobby and carry out the will of the people who put you in office. Reject this bill.

I have a RIA Tactical and it's a great shooter. I was suprised by the accuracy. It's got a smooth trigger and hasn't failed to eat anything I've fed it. I added some checkered grips and improved the feel over the original smooth grips. It can't be beat for the money. In fact, it may be worth twice the money. The Tactical is my second RIA. I also have a Compact. I wouldn't have bought the second if I wasn't impressed by the first. If you're wanting to customize, this is a great place to start. I picked it up at Bellshire Hardware in Nashville. Great folks to deal with.
