  1. From what I've heard in the past, if there's no pictures, it didn't happen.
  2. I need one of those.
  3. Had mine a couple years. .40. No rust. No failures. Accurate. Perfect fit. Great gun. Love it.

Well, darn, I guess the personality thing rules me out.

  6. There goes my blood pressure again.
  7. I believe there are flying things that I have not been able to identify which would make them, by definition, Unidentified Flying Objects. Could they be meteors, airplanes, helicopters, satellites, weather balloons? Certainly. Just because I can't identify something doesn't make it mysterious or alien. So yes, I believe there are things flying around that I haven't been able to identify. Do I think that they are alien craft because I couldn't identify them? Absolutely not. But I can't prove they're not either. I do believe though that we've traveled this road before.

After hearing all of this, I'm tempted to give up this engineering thing I've been doing for 30 years and become a waiter. It's apparently much more lucrative than I imagined.

Exactly. I've been a business traveler for close to 25 years. Unfortunately. the quality of service I receive has, in general, declined tremendously over the years. It's not uncommon today to get a server that acts like it's an inconvenience to take your order and goes it downhill from there. So does their tip. I've been known to put a big fat zero on the tip line on a credit card transaction then write "very poor service" at the bottom. In a case like that, I normally will seek out the manager to let them know exactly why I was unhappy with the service and who the server was and that the experience will likely prevent me from returning. There's too many people that need jobs to put up with servers that hurt your business. On the other hand, I'll also tip 20% to 25% for very good service and seek out the manager to report that as well. It works both ways.
  10. I'm there. Thanks for the reminder!
  11. I had a Great Dane many years ago. A very sweet dog. Just watch out for the tail. It wags at a dangerous height. Or wear a cup.
  12. I quite agree that the girl from Glee (which I've never seen) was a better singer. It's hard for me to imagine that a "older set" person would have chosen either C. A. for the National Anthem or the B.E.P. for halftime. I could be wrong, it happens often, but I really had no idea who either of them were until last night. I suspect most people my age are not very familiar with them. I had heard of them before but had not heard them perform. It'll be fine with me if I never hear from either of them again. If I were to make a list of potential performers for the Super Bowl (I'll bet I never get asked to), Christina or the B.E.P. would not have made the list. Don't get me wrong, I understand that my tastes are not the same as everyone's and if Tony Bennett was the halftime performer I probably would have enjoyed it much more but many younger people would have felt as I did last night. For an event with such a wide audience, I think something with a broader appeal would have been more appropriate. I hate to admit it but I think even Michael Jackson did a better halftime show a few years ago and probably appealed to a greater percentage of the audience. I think Christina or the B.E.P. would be perfect for the X-Games or any event where hats are worn incorrectly and pants are too big to fit at the waist.
  13. If there's a Super Bowl next year, perhaps they should put some grown-ups in charge.
  14. I took mine at the Knox County Sheriff's indoor range. The instructor, a Sgt. with the Sheriff's Department, was excellent. It was reassuring to get the information straight from a LEO. The range was excellent as well. The class ran from 7AM until about 7PM. We were told to bring a lunch. I hear classes at some places last no longer than four hours. I don't recall the price but I felt it was well worth it. I have a business card somewhere with contact info but can't seem to put my hands on it right now. Someone at the Sheriff's office could probably help if you were interested.
  15. One word...optometrist.
  16. but....they choose a singer for the National Anthem that flubs the words. Then we get the worst half-time show since Jackson/Timberlake. Who's running this thing? Pretty good game though. Too bad the Steelers kept giving the ball away.
  17. According to my friends in Louisiana, anyone from north of I-10 is a yankee. I guess it's a matter of perspective.
  18. Fox Shoots Man. Hunters beware. They're fighting back. MOSCOW (Reuters) – A wounded fox shot its would be killer in Belarus by pulling the trigger on the hunter's gun as the pair scuffled after the man tried to finish the animal off with the butt of the rifle, media said Thursday. The unnamed hunter, who had approached the fox after wounding it from a distance, was in hospital with a leg wound, while the fox made its escape, media said, citing prosecutors from the Grodno region. "The animal fiercely resisted and in the struggle accidentally pulled the trigger with its paw," one prosecutor was quoted as saying. Fox-hunting is popular in the picturesque farming region of northwestern Belarus which borders Poland. (Reporting by Amie Ferris-Rotman; Editing by Matthew Jones) Fox shoots man - Yahoo! News
  19. Don't carry a phone. I carry a company phone on company time because I have to, but other than that, I don't need the aggravation. Call the house, leave a message.
  20. I've had no problems with GA ammo. They were having trouble keeping up with the demand a year or so back.

  23. Dan Wesson. Love my CBOB. Went with DW over Kimber and have no regrets.
