  1. Dang spiffy!
  2. As long as I can't predict where trouble is going to happen, I prefer to be prepared for trouble everywhere. I carry at WalMart, Home Depot, Food City, and mowing my lawn. I'm not afraid of being in those places. I don't sit down and try to calculate the possibility of trouble before I go. I assume trouble is a possibility anywhere I go. And it is. Once I get my crystal ball fixed and can predict where trouble will happen, I'll just predict the winning Lotto numbers and hire someone to take care of my security.
  3. Dan Wesson Heritage at Bud's for $1126, shipped. The fit and finish of a DW is top notch. My CBOB is very accurate and a pure pleasure to shoot.
  4. Dan Wesson. You'll have no regrets.

    S&W m642 airweight

A 642 in a DeSantis Superfly is my everyday pocket carry. Concealable, lightweight, and very reliable.
  6. My experience with S&W customer service has been excellent. Responsive and quick turnaround. Less that a week total time. That was with a S&W handgun. I have heard, but not experienced, that the Walther turnaround time is somewhat longer.
  7. You should join our antisocial network. We stay away from each other and never communicate. It's pretty enjoyable.
  8. I have a set of J A Henkels. Great set of knives. Congratulations!
  9. Facebook? Never been there. I hear it's a watering hole for sheeple.
  10. Just what I suspected. A poison ivy conspiracy.
  11. Poison Ivy. I usually have some around my property and it had been no real problem in the past but this year it's everywhere. It's popping up even in the middle of my yard. I've gotten it on parts of me I don't want to describe! My dogs have also gotten into it and passed it onto my wife and me (not related to the parts I don't want to describe, that was my fault for not washing my hands!). Fels Naptha seems to do a good job of getting it off my skin and out of my clothes but there was a painful learning curve involved. Round Up only seems to affect it temporarily. It keeps coming back. Has anyone else noticed an unusual amount of this stuff this year? What do you use to eradicate it?
  12. When you decide you want to "give it" to someone else, you just let me know.
  13. What he said. Welcome to the Carcano Club. I have a couple 19/28 Terni Carcanos. Fun to shoot. I've had one of them for nearly 45 years. It was my first deer rifle. And it still could do the job.
  14. Most enjoyable video I've seen in a while.
  15. I just wanted to get in on this remarkable and most memorable thread.
  16. Pictures of most politicians cause me great distress. One politician in particular. No, I don't mean Wiener. His pictures make me laugh.
  17. I have a couple of Chip McCormick officer size mags that have performed flawlessly. Around $20 - $25.

    Cheese

This thread is going to stink.

    Cheese

    You are correct, sir!

    Cheese

I don't know what it means either but I had some Limburger cheese a couple hours ago and the dogs are still sitting in my lap.
  21. I'll probably go to the Morristown show but with low expectations. I haven't been to a show in a awhile and there are always have several items I'm looking for. I don't need anything so badly that I can't walk away if the deal doesn't suit me. The last show I attended at the fire hall had little to see and prices were silly but it's nearby. The best deals are usually found on TGO...if you're quick enough.
  22. At 1000 you'll get to learn the secret handshake.
  23. I'm in Morristown and it's over an hour from my home to any place to shoot. When I get a chance, the need is so great I just want to throw as much lead down range as possible in a short amount of time. That, unfortunately, doesn't lend itself to improving my technique or accuracy. But it sure feels good!
  24. I've hunted and fished. I ate what I hunted and would usually catch and release when fishing. Well, anymore I still fish but I seem to have lost the knack for the catch part. I've had to dispatch many a possum and raccoon that insisted on being where they were encouraged not to be. I just don't recall when killing was "cool".
