  1. Someone took it from Mother Nature. You're just returning it.
  2. I had to wait for mine to expire. After expiration, just go to subscriptions and you'll be able to renew. I know, the hours spent without your benefactor status will seem agonizingly long and painful.
  3. So the idiot in the car next to him, talking on a cell phone instead of focusing on operating their vehicle, can't hear. It could also possibly be the result of a stream of rap music coming from a vehicle's open window that causes the motorcycle operators hand and wrist muscles to involuntarily tense in direct proportion to the irritation received. Of course, I have no personal knowledge of these things happening. Just speculating.

    bond arms

They're well built and hide easily. As above, I wouldn't consider it a primary weapon. It's a bit like tucking an extra fifty in the back of your wallet. You don't intend to spend it but if you get in a bind it may come in real handy.
  5. This sounds like the old Ford vs Chevy debate (we all know Ford is better). Both have good reputations. You should decide which one feels better in your hand.
  6. Classic Arms has them for $319. They have then converted, 922r compliant for $479. I bought a converted Saiga from them a couple of months ago when they had them on sale for $449 and have been very happy with it. It's a basic conversion and hasn't missed a lick.
  7. There was a recall on my Model 22A. S&W paid FedEx charges both ways and I had it back in my hands in under a week. Top notch service. I don't recall ever hearing bad things about S&W service.
  8. I bought my first MAC tools about 40 years ago. They're still as good as new. I did mangle the tip of a MAC phillips screwdriver once. The MAC tool guy put it in a vise, smacked it with a hammer, broke it and said "I guess that needs to be replaced". Good stuff. Great support.
  9. My benefactor status expires in a couple of days and I'd like to renew it. I found my subscription info but can't seem to find where to renew. Do I need to wait until my current subscription expires or am I just looking in the wrong place?
  10. I took a look at their site and it looks like a pretty goods deal. I don't seem to be able to find any reviews or ratings on their service. Has anybody else used or heard of this company?
  11. I may have to try to catch this one. I have a couple old laptops that I could shoot up. From what I've seen in the news the last couple days, that apparently really stirs up the sheep if you video it and post it on youtube. http://www.wsoctv.com/news/news/local/youtube-dad-who-shot-daughters-laptop-gets-visit-a/nHbcR/ Since my kids are all grown and on their own, I have a bunch of old kids toys around. I'll bet shooting a teddy bear would send the sheep into a frothing-at-the-mouth frenzy.
  12. 1964 Chevy Impala, 283, Powerglide. Engine was seized up when I bought it for $50. I was 15 years old and pulled the engine, tore it down, rebuilt, and reinstalled it. Every penny came from my paychecks working on a farm. Ran well till the day I sold it. Some memorable experiences in that car.
  13. It bothers me when I'm in the checkout line buying hamburger with my hard earned money and the person in front of me whips out their government card to pay for their ribeye steaks. And it's unbelievable that they can buy nonsense like energy drinks with the card. What we consider to be the poverty level in our country would be considered luxury living in some other countries. Just a guess but I suspect most households in public housing have the latest video games with wide screen TVs and use top of the line smart phones. Just my opinion.
  14. Having lived much of my life in the Asheville area, I think Raoul has nailed it down pretty well. I haven't looked at any statistics but my gut feeling is that the crime rate in Asheville may be a bit lower than Knoxville. That could just be my perception because Asheville is a smaller town than Knoxville.
  15. I'm here. Now I have to find some time to look around.
  16. You've made me curious. I got a plastic 30 round mag for my Yugo. I just popped the original metal mag out, snap the trigger back in and the 30 rounder just snaps in. It works great but required no actual modification. It takes about a minute to pop the original mag back in. I'm guessing you're speaking of a mag that requires actual modification to the rifle to use. There are a couple of minor problems I've noticed when using the 30 round mag. I can go through 100 rounds of ammo in no time and it takes a while for the barrel to cool off.
  17. I'm perfectly happy with a pert knocker. What I dislike is a fake knocker. That's kind of like going to the range with a toy gun. It just dosen't feel right.
  18. This is what I was going to say except I might substitute "outstanding" or maybe "excellent" in place of "wonderful". Although, wonderful does certainly apply.
  19. The Mayans never said the world would end on that date. December 21, 2012 is simply the day that the calendar will go to the next b'ak'tun. It's just Happy New Year on a bigger scale. If you want to worry about your future, read up on Edgar Cayce. Shifting magnetic poles have happened before.
  20. I see she was in possession of envelopes suspected of containing cocaine, although not yet charged. I guess I better quit carrying BC powders with me when I travel up north.
  21. Prayer sent.
  22. I've been to S.I.R. It is a nice range and the people there have always been great. It just takes around an hour and a half to get there. If you spend any time shooting, the day is pretty well spent. I'd just like to be able to shoot without the need to plan a road trip. I think citizens should be permitted to use law enforcement ranges. After all, we are paying for them.
  23. I'll stop in and check the place out. Now if he could just open a range in Morristown I'd definitely spend some money with him.
  24. I took a look at the member list. It looks like I'm the sixth member.
  25. That's because the "Force" is strong with you. If OS is riding with you, you probably have more gas when you arrive than you did when you left.
