  1.   I saw that too.  It was on the "Doomsday Castle".  I wondered about the bleach as well.  I figure six inches of water would get the job done.
  2. I've pocket carried a Shield 9 in a DeSantis Superfly for about a year.  I've put at least a thousand rounds through it with no malfunction.  Most of that was the cheap stuff.    I hope to add a Shield 40 to the collection.
  3. I got some Tru Specs a couple of years ago.  I haven't worn a pair of blue jeans since.  Big difference in comfort and convenience and the Tru Specs have held up very well.
  4. You need to forget CCDW and look for HCP.  In Tennessee it's a Handgun Carry Permit.  Try HCP in your search and I suspect you'll get more hits.  I can't help with the Nashville area.
  5. The only things I have gun related are a TGO hat and a NRA hat.  I do occasionally wear the TGO hat but the NRA hat has big shiny silver NRA letters on it.  If it didn't say NRA I'd say the style is either "thug" or perhaps even "feminine".  In either case, I don't wear it.
  6. Having some experience with gaffs, I know that's not easy and requires some skill.  Way to go.
  7. "Roid Rage".  Huh.  Until I started reading the OP, I was wondering why the guy didn't just get some Preparation H.  Steroids never crossed my mind.
  8. A quiet woman?
  9. People probably paid little attention to you because you were carrying a Glock.  If it had been a 1911..... :panic:
  10.   OS, you posted that you could only find the names of the Chair and the Exec Secretary.  That's two members.  Just speculating but perhaps the poster sees TN as an abbreviation for ten.  Hence, there must be eight more.  Possibly a joke?    I, personally, have never had a need to abbreviate the word ten.
  11. Prepare for the worst.  Hope for the best.  I'd rather be prepared and not need it than the alternative.  I'm somewhere in the middle.  More prepared than most, less prepared than many.
  12. Ahhhh...how I so fondly remember the excitement of my 1000th TGO post.  The breathtaking sense of achievement one experiences when reaching such an important milestone in life is rare, making it that much more fulfilling.   Seriously, congratulations on the big 1000.  I don't think I've ever posted a picture of my face here because I'm always in disguise.  My wife saw the real me once and said "Don't do that again".
  13. I thought I had read all of Stephen King's books.  I must have missed this one.   The original Evil Dead is great partly because it was filmed right here in east Tennessee!  I live just a couple of miles from the location of the cabin and my recreational (range) property is just up the road about a mile from the "hitch-hiking fisherman" scene location.     After hearing some of the reviews, I am looking forward to seeing World War Z...when it comes out on cable.
  14. M&P 15A, M&P40 FS, M&P Shield 9mm.  Would like to adopt a Shield 40 and a M&P 45.
  15. From the article:   "The blued 1873 has an MSRP of $1,300; the case-hardened 1873 runs a bit more at $1,580."
  16.   Is there a movie in the works?  I hope it translates to the screen better than Jack Reacher.
  17. Not 100% but I think just the Hazmat.
  18. Maybe I better stop blowing up TVs with that stuff.
  19. Vince Flynn dies of prostate cancer at a young age.  I'm going to miss not reading any more Mitch Rapp novels.  One of my favorite series.  RIP Vince.    http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/06/19/best-selling-author-vince-flynn-dies-at-age-47/
  20. The Fashion Police.  I've heard of them.
  21. I needed only to tweak Mike's list just a bit to make it right for me.     In my truck you are NOT   Smoking Eating Putting feet on the dash anywhere but the floor Changing the radio/music Messing with the A/C, heat, or adjusting the vents Drinks are okay if'n you have a screw on lid Showing your carry piece off Touching glass Flipping people off Farting Singing
  22. I read the book and wasn't impressed.  Not much of a storyline.
  23. $170 is more than I paid for 5000 rounds less than a year ago.  I think I'll wait a little longer.
