So I got my new P09 in... put a cajun hammer on it, polished the inner workings. Have not done a spring job yet, but there is already a marked improvement when dry firing (just finished the job this morning and the weather isn't cooperative to try live fire). Dropped a Hex Wasp red dot on it as well (taken off a Hellcat I just got from another member). Can't wait to put it through its paces. I've never really tried getting used to optics, so we'll see how that part of it goes.

What did you do for a new trigger? A cajun or something else? Did you do it at the same time as all the other improvements? I've been trying g to do mine in steps so I can see each result separately, so I can prioritize them in the future. What did the new trigger do for you? I've done flat faced triggers on all my P10 variants, and I like them. Shorter reset, better feel, reduced felt pull weight, etc.

So I broke down and tried replacing the oem hammers on a P-07 and on a PCR. Both already had spring kits from MCarbo and I polished all the moving bits. I was skeptical that changing hammers was going to make any real difference. I figured no way will it change anything, I mean, the dimensions have to be the same to be interchangeable, right? Well, i could not have been more wrong. I'm no machinist, so to my un-calibrated eye, the do, the look the same, but boy is there a massive difference in the SA trigger. There now is a proper crisp break instead of a spongy, dragging break with the original hammer. I don't know what kind of voodoo/hoodoo/black magic those boys are playing with down there, but I'm glad they are. Installation was easy enough for me, and I think I'm gonna get plenty of practice now that I'm a believer. If you are kicking the idea around about trying it, I say go for it. You won't be disappointed. Unfortunately now that I've tried 'em, I'm looking at a small fortune to do hammers on the rest of my toys... can't wait to try one on my new P-09C.

So I ordered one today, and I never took the time to get used to optics on a pistol, so thats one less thing that could wrong for me We'll see in a week or so how it goes.

So it wouldn't do any good to tell you its a terrible gun, and that you should get rid of it (by selling it to me) right away? Lol. Have you got a P07 as well? If so, how do you think it compares? Have you done anything to it, springs, polish, maybe a cajun hammer?

I tend to disassemble and polish all the moving parts day 1 anyway, and I've never been one for optics, so I do foresee any issues. My problem is deciding do I wait for the second year of manufacture, or just get I now since its supposed to be pretty much just a new skin on the P07 I carry now.

I've been looking into the P09C as well. Just watched the Honest Outlaw review on YouTube... I'm hoping he got a lemon, but he had numerous FTF and FTE issues I. The first 300 rounds. Gonna check some more places. I'm really hoping he just had a freak experience, or maybe was an issue with optic screw length.

I'll take "Next" if it doesn't work out with JMA...

I've got one, love it. Accurate, eats anything I feed it, and feels good. Just a shade bigger in the hand than a P10F 9mm.
