  1. So I only know what I personally like, but my Beretta A303 20 gauge semi autos are among the most reliable guns ever (with standard loads). Have had mine since the 1980's. Can be found used for a decent price. However, only the sport model had a shorter barrel AFAIK and that was 26". Don't see those a lot.
  2. Hey, thanks for that tip! And I will definitely check out that course. Thank you!
  3. I grew up in a family that hunted, both my mom and my dad. For their first wedding anniversary my dad gave my mom a shotgun and a cast iron skillet But all the men who used to take me along and advise me are gone, so haven't really done anything in recent years other than some random range practice with my handguns. I was a natural shooter (with a rifle or shotgun at least). Aside from plinking and hunting small game with a single shot 22 from an early age, I really loved trap shooting with my dad (I shot a 20 gauge). I have several Beretta mouse guns (Bobcats), a .32 H&R Magnum revolver, a Ruger LCP .38, a Sig Sauer p238, a ranch rifle, and a couple Beretta 20 gauge. I would like to take up trap shooting again, but I can't deal with the recoil, having broken both shoulders in the past. So I am thinking about some other options. My FFL is not terribly helpful answering questions--they cater to law enforcement and military so I get that. And I really don't want the slick sales advise from the bigger sporting goods stores. So thought I would try to find an online gun community that might not be offended by newbie or dumb questions. Learn stuff :).
